Abstract

The invention relates to a method for filling, from an upstream storage (1), a tank with a cryogenic liquid, wherein a filling station (5) has a first line, which connects the storage to the tank, passing therethrough and enables the cryogenic liquid to be transferred from the storage to the tank, and a second line (3) connecting a gas outlet of the tank to the filling station and enabling the gases being evacuated from the tank to be conveyed to the filling station; the second gas return line to the station being devoid of a discharger but being provided with a solenoid valve or a plurality of solenoid valves arranged in parallel and normally closed, the filling being controlled by opening the solenoid valve as much as necessary to obtain a desired pressure differential Delta P (between the storage and the tank), and a final pressure value in the tank, which is consistent with a desired set value associated with the tank being filled.
