Abstract

The invention relates to a method for measuring the presence of a high-voltage current in a high-voltage component (2) fitted in a vehicle (1). Said method has the steps: connection of an external read device (9) to a communication bus (6) of the vehicle (1); output of a signal by the high-voltage component (2) or by a component control unit (5) that is connected to the high-voltage component (2) to the communication bus (6), said signal indicating whether a high-voltage current is present in the high-voltage component (2); and reading of the signal from the communication bus (6) by means of the external read device (9).
