Abstract

The present invention relates to an oil skimmer. An oil skimmer according to the present invention has different buoyancy sources for a main body (210) and an inlet (270) such that the inlet moves by different buoyancy so as to continuously introduce surface layer water, even though the main body is sunk by impurities stuck thereto or is shaken by waves. In addition, the position of the inlet is automatically placed on the water surface in the beginning such that adjustment thereof is unnecessary. A buoyancy pack (216) or an inlet main body (271) receives the water and is sunk into the water so as not to be easily overturned and is stably maintained on the water surface in spite of high waves or shaking. Therefore, the inlet is always positioned on the water surface such that the oil skimmer is enabled to be used even in high waves or tides.
