Abstract

Patent of invention for a shot blasting machine comprising a portable main body (1), an electric motor (3) coupled to a disk (3) and four rectangular plates (6), a recipient therewithin coupled to another geared motor (10) and (11) on the base thereof that enables it to be used in small spaces equivalent to that of a domestic tool with incline features of the base of the main body. It has an entirely innovative steel shot/air flow system that obviates the need for bucket elevators, air compressors, spindles, worm gears and fire-safety systems. The present machine uses carbon-steel shot to obtain a superior surface finish, where other machines use stainless-steel shot, and this reduces material costs by about 90%, if stainless-steel shot is used in the present machine, the surface quality is superior, and material consumption is also reduced and maintenance is simplified. In terms of noise, this machine satisfies the noise level required by the Brazilian National Standards Organization (ABNT) on account of the size and components thereof. Consequently, the cost of the machine is significantly less than the competition.
