ネットワーク監視システム、通信装置、ネットワーク管理方法、及び、ネットワーク管理プログラム記憶媒体
 本発明は、ネットワーク監視システム、通信装置、ネットワーク管理方法、及び、ネットワーク管理プログラム記憶媒体の技術分野に関し、特に、ネットワークノードがネットワークに追加された際にネットワーク管理に係るパラメータを自動的に設定するネットワーク監視システム、通信装置、ネットワーク管理方法、及び、ネットワーク管理プログラム記憶媒体に関する。
 SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol)を用いたネットワーク監視システムを構築するためには、監視対象であるネットワークノードに対する、IP(Internet Protocol)アドレス等の設定と、ネットワーク管理に係るパラメータの設定とが必要である。一般に、上記設定は煩雑であり、設定のための手間は、極力、削減されることが望ましい。
 ネットワーク管理システムが監視するネットワークノード数が大幅に増加した場合には、ネットワーク管理に係るネットワークトラフィックが大幅に増大する。上記の場合には、ネットワークトラフィックが抑制されることが望ましい。
 ネットワークノードに対するネットワーク管理に係るパラメータの設定の手間が抑制されるネットワーク監視システムの一例が、特許文献1に開示されている。特許文献1のネットワークシステムは、監視サーバと、クライアントノードと、ネットワーク情報管理サーバと、LAN(Local Area Network)とを備える。監視サーバは、SNMPマネージャと、監視制御テーブルと、監視制御部とを備える。クライアントノードは、DHCP(Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol)クライアントと、SNMPエージェントとを含む。ネットワーク情報管理サーバは、DHCPサーバと、SNMPエージェントと、ネットワーク情報管理テーブルとを含む。ネットワーク情報管理テーブルは、クライアントノード毎の、MAC(Media Access Control)アドレスと、IPアドレスと、ネットマスクと、SNMPのソースIPアドレスと、SNMPのコミュニティ名と、SNMP MIB(Management Information Base)のアクセス権限と、SNMP TRAPの通知設定とを保持する。特許文献1のネットワークシステムは、以下のように動作する。
 クライアントノードがネットワークに接続されると、DHCPクライアントは、IP情報(MACアドレスと、IPアドレスと、ネットマスクを含む情報)とネットワーク管理情報(SNMPのソースIPアドレスと、SNMPのコミュニティ名と、SNMP MIBのアクセス権限と、SNMP TRAPの通知設定とを含む情報)の割り当てをネットワーク情報管理サーバへ要求する。ネットワーク情報管理サーバのDHCPサーバは、クライアントノードからIP情報とネットワーク管理情報の割り当て要求を受信した際、クライアントノードに割り当てられたIP情報とネットワーク管理情報をネットワーク情報管理テーブルにて保持し、IP情報とネットワーク管理情報をクライアントノードに返す。DHCPクライアントは、DHCPサーバから取得したIP情報とネットワーク管理情報をクライアントノードに設定する。クライアントノードのSNMPエージェントは、ネットワーク管理情報の設定が完了したことを監視サーバに通知する。監視サーバのSNMPマネージャが、クライアントノードのSNMPエージェントからの通知に基づいて、ネットワーク管理情報の設定が完了したことを検出した場合には、監視制御部は、監視制御テーブルにクライアントノードの情報を記録し監視を行う。
 上記の動作の結果、特許文献1のネットワークシステムでは、クライアントノードがネットワークに接続されると、クライアントノードにIP情報とネットワーク管理情報とが自動的に設定される。クライアントノードに対するネットワーク管理情報の設定が完了したことが監視サーバに通知された後には、監視サーバはクライアントノードの監視が可能になる。つまり、ネットワークノードに対するネットワーク管理に係るパラメータの設定の手間が削減される。
 ネットワーク管理に係るネットワークトラフィックが抑制されるネットワーク監視システムの一例が、特許文献2に開示されている。特許文献2のネットワーク監視システムは、ネットワーク管理システムと、通信機器(ルータ、スイッチ等)と、管理エージェントと、ネットワークとを備える。ネットワークは、広域通信網に接続された複数の拠点サブネットを備える。1つの拠点サブネットには、1つの管理エージェントと、1つ以上の通信機器とが接続される。ネットワーク管理システムは、広域通信網に接続される。ネットワーク管理システムは、SNMPマネージャを含む。通信機器は、SNMPエージェントを含む。管理エージェントは、SNMPエージェントと、SNMPマネージャとを含む。特許文献2のネットワーク監視システムは、以下のように動作する。
 各管理エージェントは、管理エージェントが含まれる拠点サブネット内の全ての通信機器に対してSNMPマネージャとして動作することにより、通信機器の監視及び制御を行う。管理エージェントは、ネットワーク管理システムに対して、管理エージェントが監視及び制御を行う通信機器を代理するSNMPエージェントとして動作する。
 上記動作の結果、特許文献2のネットワーク監視システムでは、ネットワーク管理システムは、通信機器を直接監視及び制御するかわりに、管理エージェントを監視及び制御すればよい。そのため、ネットワーク管理に係るネットワークトラフィックが抑制される。

 特許文献1のネットワーク監視システムでは、すべてのクライアントノードのネットワーク管理に係るネットワークトラフィックが1つの監視サーバに集中する。そのため、特許文献1のネットワーク監視システムには、監視対象であるクライアント数が大幅に増加した場合に、ネットワーク管理に係るネットワークトラフィックが大幅に増加するという問題がある。
 特許文献2のネットワーク監視システムでは、サブネット間でIPアドレスの重複ができないので、各通信機器にネットワーク内で一意なIPアドレスを割り当てられる。そのため、特許文献2のネットワーク監視システムには、大きなIPアドレス空間が必要であるという問題がある。
 本発明の目的は、ネットワークノードのネットワーク管理に係る設定を自動化でき、ネットワーク管理に係るネットワークトラフィックを抑制でき、ネットワーク管理に係るネットワークアドレスの割り当てに必要なアドレス空間を縮小できるネットワーク監視システム、通信装置、ネットワーク管理方法、及び、ネットワーク管理プログラム記憶媒体を提供することにある。
 本発明のネットワーク監視システムは、1つのサブネットに接続されたネットワークノードに、ネットワークの全体で共有されるネットワークアドレス空間に属するネットワークアドレスを含むネットワーク設定情報を提供するホスト設定サーバと、ネットワークノードの管理情報を収集及び設定するための情報を設定する情報設定手段と、ネットワークノードに対して、管理情報に関する要求の送信及び応答の受信、並びに、管理情報の更新の通知の受信を行う管理マネージャと、管理情報を管理するネットワーク管理システムに対して、要求の受信及び応答の送信、並びに、通知の送信を行う管理エージェントと、を備える通信装置と、通信装置に対して管理マネージャとして動作し、ネットワークアドレス以外の識別子を用いて、又は、ネットワークアドレスとネットワークアドレス以外の識別子との組み合わせを用いて、複数のネットワークノードのそれぞれを識別するネットワーク管理システムと、1つの通信装置に対してホスト設定サーバと通信するホスト設定クライアント及び管理エージェントとして動作し、ネットワークアドレス以外の識別子を用いて、又は、ネットワークアドレスとネットワークアドレス以外の識別子との組み合わせを用いて、ネットワークノードのそれぞれが識別されるネットワークノードと、を備えることを特徴とする。
 本発明の通信装置は、1つのサブネットに接続されたネットワークノードに、ネットワークの全体で共有されるネットワークアドレス空間に属するネットワークアドレスを含むネットワーク設定情報を提供するホスト設定サーバと、ネットワークノードの管理情報を収集及び設定するための情報を設定する情報設定手段と、ネットワークノードに対して、管理情報に関する要求の送信及び応答の受信、並びに、管理情報更新の通知の受信を行う管理マネージャと、ネットワークノードの管理情報を管理するネットワーク管理システムに対して、要求の受信及び応答の送信、並びに、通知の送信を行う管理エージェントと、を備えることを特徴とする。
 本発明のネットワーク管理方法は、1つのサブネットに接続されたネットワークノードに、ネットワークの全体で共有されるネットワークアドレス空間に属するネットワークアドレスを含むネットワーク設定情報を提供し、ネットワークノードの管理情報を収集及び設定するための情報を設定し、ネットワークノードに対して、管理情報に関する要求の送信及び応答の受信、並びに、管理情報更新の通知の受信を行い、ネットワークノードの管理情報を管理するネットワーク管理システムに対して、要求の受信及び応答の送信、並びに、通知の送信を行う、ことを特徴とする。
 本発明のネットワーク管理プログラム記憶媒体は、通信装置が備えるコンピュータを、1つのサブネットに接続されたネットワークノードに、ネットワークの全体で共有されるネットワークアドレス空間に属するネットワークアドレスを含むネットワーク設定情報を提供する手段と、ネットワークノードの管理情報を収集及び設定するための情報を設定する手段と、ネットワークノードに対して、管理情報に関する要求の送信及び応答の受信、並びに、管理情報更新の通知の受信を行う手段と、ネットワークノードの管理情報を管理するネットワーク管理システムに対して、要求の受信及び応答の送信、並びに、通知の送信を行う手段として機能させるためのプログラムを格納することを特徴とする。
 本発明によれば、ネットワークノードのネットワーク管理に係る設定を自動化でき、ネットワーク管理に係るネットワークトラフィックを抑制でき、ネットワーク管理に係るネットワークアドレスの割り当てに必要なアドレス空間を縮小できる。

 以下、本発明の実施形態について図面を参照して詳細に説明する。尚、すべての図面において、同様な構成要素には同様の符号を付し、適宜説明を省略する。
 図1は、本発明の一実施形態におけるネットワーク監視システムの構成を示すブロック図である。
 本実施形態のネットワーク監視システムは、ネットワーク管理システム100と、通信装置300と、ネットワークノード500と、「サブネットA」200と、「サブネットB」400とを備える。「サブネットA」、「サブネットB」については、以降、符号を省略する。
 尚、通信装置の数と、サブネットAを除くサブネット(図1では、サブネットB)の数は、それぞれ1以上である。図1では、それぞれの数が1である場合を例示している。ネットワークノードの数は、サブネットAを除くサブネット(図1では、サブネットB)当たり1以上である。図1では、ネットワークノードの数が1である場合を例示している。以下では、通信装置300がルータ301を含む例を説明する。通信装置300は、サブネットBに、ルータとは独立に存在してもよい。
 ネットワーク管理システム100は、ネットワークに含まれるネットワークノード500の障害監視や操作等の管理を行う。ただし、ネットワーク管理システム100は、ネットワークノード500と直接通信するのではなく、通信装置300を経由してネットワークノード500を管理する。
 ネットワーク管理システム100は、ネットワークアドレスのみを参照してネットワークノード500を識別するのではない。ネットワーク管理システム100は、ネットワークノード500のネットワークアドレスと、通信装置300の、ネットワークアドレス、名前、若しくは識別子等との組を用いてネットワークノード500を識別する。あるいは、ネットワーク管理システム100は、ネットワークノード500に一意に割り当てられた名前、識別子、若しくは物理アドレス等を用いてネットワークノード500を識別する。
 ネットワーク管理システム100は、ネットワーク管理マネージャ106を備える。ネットワーク管理マネージャ106は、ネットワーク管理プロトコル(以下、「NMP」という。)に従って、ネットワークノード500の管理情報の更新の通知を受理したり、ネットワークノード500に対するコマンドを発行したりする。尚、本実施形態におけるNMPは、クライアントに対してサーバとして動作し、かつサーバに対してクライアントの代理として動作するノードを許容するタイプのNMPである。
 ネットワークノード500は、一般的なネットワーク機器であり、例えば、ルータ、スイッチ、コンピュータである。ネットワークノード500は、ホスト設定クライアント504と、ネットワーク管理エージェント508とを備える。ホスト設定クライアント504は、ホスト設定プロトコルに従って、ホスト設定サーバ302に対してネットワークアドレス等の割当を要求する。ネットワーク管理エージェント508は、NMPに従って、ネットワーク管理マネージャ306に対して管理情報更新の通知を発行したり、ネットワーク管理マネージャ306からコマンドを受理したりする。尚、本実施形態におけるホスト設定プロトコルは、特定のネットワークアドレス空間から動的に1つのネットワークアドレスをクライアントに付与するタイプのホスト設定プロトコルである。
 通信装置300は、ルータ301と、ホスト設定サーバ302と、ネットワーク管理プロトコル情報設定手段(以下、「NMP情報設定手段」という。)305と、ネットワーク管理マネージャ306と、ネットワーク管理エージェント308とを備える。通信装置300は、ネットワーク管理システム100に対してはネットワーク管理エージェントとして動作する。通信装置300は、ネットワークノード500に対してはネットワーク管理マネージャ及びホスト設定サーバとして動作する。
 ルータ301は、サブネットAとサブネットBとの間でネットワークパケットのルーティングを行う。尚、ルータ301は、ホスト設定サーバ302が割り当て可能なネットワークアドレスはサブネットBに存在するものと見做してルーティングを行う。例えば、ネットワークノード500は、必ず通信装置300を経由してネットワーク管理システム100と通信を行う。ネットワークノード500は、サブネットB以外に存在するネットワークノードとは通信を行わない。
 ホスト設定サーバ302は、ホスト設定プロトコルに従って、ネットワークノード500のホスト設定クライアント504へネットワークアドレス等の設定を通知する。
 NMP情報設定手段305は、ネットワーク管理プロトコル情報(以下、「NMP情報」という。)を生成し、生成したNMP情報をネットワークノード500へ通知する。
 ネットワーク管理マネージャ306は、NMPに従って、ネットワークノード500から管理情報の更新の通知を受理したり、ネットワークノード500へコマンドを発行したりする。
 ネットワーク管理エージェント308は、NMPに従って、ネットワーク管理システム100のネットワーク管理マネージャ106へネットワークノード500の管理情報更新を通知したり、ネットワーク管理システム100からネットワークノード500に対するコマンドを受理したりする。
 図2は、通信装置300の一例である通信装置907のハードウェア構成の一例を示すブロック図である。
 通信装置907は、LAN910を介してネットワーク管理システム100、ネットワークノード500等と通信する。通信装置907は、記憶装置901と、メモリ902と、CPU(Central Processing Unit)903と、キーボード904と、モニタ905と、I/O(Input/Output)908とを備え、これらが内部バス906で接続されている。I/O908は、LAN910に接続される。LAN910は、通信装置907がネットワーク管理システム100、ネットワークノード500等と通信を行うためのインターフェイスである。CPU903は、通信装置907全体を制御し、I/O908を介してNMP情報設定手段305等のプログラムの実行やデータの送受信を行なう。メモリ902は、CPU903の動作プログラム等を格納する。記憶装置901は、NMP情報設定手段305等のプログラムを格納する。なお、上記の通信装置907の内部構成は一例である。通信装置907は、CPU903のみを備え、外部に備えられた、記憶装置901、メモリ902、キーボード904、モニタ905、及びI/O908を用いて動作してもよい。
 次に、本実施形態の動作を説明する。図3では、ネットワーク設定情報及びNMP情報の設定に係る動作が示される。図4では、ネットワーク設定情報及びNMP情報が設定された後の、管理情報の収集に係る動作が示される。図5では、NMPとしてSNMPが、ホスト設定プロトコルとしてDHCPが利用される場合について、ネットワーク設定情報及びNMP情報の設定に係る動作が示される。図6では、NMPとしてSNMPが、ホスト設定プロトコルとしてDHCPが利用される場合について、ネットワーク設定情報及びNMP情報が設定された後の、管理情報の収集に係る動作が示される。
 図3は、本実施形態におけるネットワーク監視システムの、ネットワーク設定情報及びNMP情報の設定に係る動作を説明するシーケンスチャートである。
 本動作例では、ネットワークノード500がサブネットBに新たに接続された場合について説明する。
 ネットワークノード500がサブネットBに接続されると(ステップS505)、ネットワークノード500のホスト設定クライアント504は、通信装置300にネットワークアドレス等のネットワーク設定情報の取得を要求する(ステップS510)。
 通信装置300のホスト設定サーバ302は、ネットワークノード500からネットワーク設定情報の取得要求を受理する(ステップS305)。ホスト設定サーバ302は、ネットワーク設定情報を作成する(ステップS310)。ネットワーク設定情報は、複数のサブネットで共有されるネットワークアドレス空間に属するネットワークアドレスを含む。ネットワーク設定情報に含まれるネットワークアドレスは、他のネットワークノードのネットワークアドレスと重複してもよい。
 通信装置300のNMP情報設定手段305は、NMP情報を作成する(ステップS315)。NMP情報は、ネットワークノード500に対してネットワーク管理プロトコルマネージャ(以下、「NMPマネージャ」という。)として動作する通信装置300のネットワークアドレスを含む。NMP情報は、NMPが有する認証情報等を含んでもよい。
 通信装置300のホスト設定サーバ302は、ネットワークノード500にネットワーク設定情報を提供する(ステップS320)。
 通信装置300のNMP情報設定手段305は、ネットワークノード500にNMP情報を提供する(ステップS325)。
 ネットワークノード500のホスト設定クライアント504は、通信装置300からネットワーク設定情報を取得する(ステップS515)。ホスト設定クライアント504は、取得したネットワーク設定情報をネットワークノード500に設定する(ステップS520)。ネットワークノード500のネットワーク管理エージェント508は、通信装置300からNMP情報を取得する(ステップS525)。ネットワーク管理エージェント508は、取得したNMP情報をネットワークノード500に設定する(ステップS530)。
 通信装置300のネットワーク管理マネージャ306は、ネットワークノード500に管理情報の取得を要求する(ステップS330)。
 ネットワークノード500のネットワーク管理エージェント508は、通信装置300から管理情報の取得要求を受信する(ステップS535)。ネットワーク管理エージェント508は、管理情報を通信装置300に通知する(ステップS540)。本動作例では、ネットワークノード500は、管理情報において、ネットワークノード500の物理アドレスを用いて識別される。尚、本動作例では、ネットワークノード500は、管理情報において、物理アドレスを用いて識別される例を挙げた。ネットワークノード500は、管理情報において、ネットワークノード500のネットワークアドレスと、通信装置300の、ネットワークアドレス、名前、若しくは識別子等との組を用いて識別されてもよい。あるいは、ネットワークノード500は、管理情報において、ネットワークノード500に一意に割り当てられた名前、識別子、若しくはアドレス等を用いて識別されてもよい。
 通信装置300のネットワーク管理エージェント308は、ネットワークノード500から管理情報を受理する(ステップS335)。ネットワーク管理エージェント308は、受理した管理情報を保存する(ステップS340)。通信装置300のネットワーク管理エージェント308は、保存した管理情報をネットワーク管理システム100に通知する(ステップS345)。
 ネットワーク管理システム100のネットワーク管理マネージャ106は、通信装置300からネットワークノード500の管理情報を受理する(ステップS105)。ネットワーク管理マネージャ106は、受理した管理情報を保存する(ステップS110)。本動作例では、ネットワークノード500は、管理情報において、ネットワークノード500の物理アドレスを用いて識別される。ネットワーク管理システム100は、管理情報において、ネットワークノード500を物理アドレスを用いて識別する。そのため、ネットワーク管理システム100は、ネットワークアドレスが同じ別のネットワークノードからネットワークノード500を識別できる。ネットワークノード500が、管理情報において、ネットワークノード500のネットワークアドレスと、通信装置300の、ネットワークアドレス、名前、若しくは識別子等との組を用いて識別される場合にも、ネットワーク管理システム100は、ネットワークアドレスが同じ別のネットワークノードからネットワークノード500を識別できる。あるいは、ネットワークノード500が、管理情報において、ネットワークノード500に一意に割り当てられた名前、識別子、若しくはアドレス等を用いてネットワークノード500が識別される場合にも、ネットワーク管理システム100は、ネットワークアドレスが同じ別のネットワークノードからネットワークノード500を識別できる。ネットワーク管理システム100は、更に、管理情報の更新に基づいて、画面表示等を更新してもよい。
 図4は、本実施形態におけるネットワーク監視システムの管理情報の収集に係る動作を説明するシーケンスチャートである。
 本動作例では、ネットワーク管理システム100が、ネットワークノード500の管理情報を収集する場合について説明する。
 ネットワーク管理システム100は、ネットワークノード500の管理情報の取得を通信装置300に要求する(ステップS155)。
 通信装置300は、ネットワーク管理システム100から管理情報の取得要求を受理する(ステップS355)。通信装置300は、ネットワークノード500の管理情報の取得をネットワークノード500に要求する(ステップS360)。
 ネットワークノード500は、通信装置300から管理情報の取得要求を受理する(ステップS555)。ネットワークノード500は、ネットワークノード500の管理情報を通信装置300に通知する(ステップS560)。
 通信装置300は、ネットワークノード500から管理情報を受理する(ステップS365)。通信装置300は、ネットワークノード500の管理情報をネットワーク管理システム100に通知する(ステップS370)。
 ネットワーク管理システム100は、通信装置300から管理情報を受理する(ステップS160)。ネットワーク管理システム100は、ネットワークノード500の管理情報を保存する(ステップS165)。本動作例では、ネットワークノード500は、管理情報において、ネットワークノード500の物理アドレスを用いて識別される。ネットワーク管理システム100は、管理情報において、ネットワークノード500を物理アドレスを用いて識別する。そのため、ネットワーク管理システム100は、ネットワークノード500をネットワークアドレスが同じ別のネットワークノードから識別できる。ネットワークノード500が、管理情報において、ネットワークノード500のネットワークアドレスと、通信装置300の、ネットワークアドレス、名前、若しくは識別子等との組を用いて識別される場合にも、ネットワーク管理システム100は、ネットワークアドレスが同じ別のネットワークノードからネットワークノード500を識別できる。あるいは、ネットワークノード500が、管理情報において、ネットワークノード500に一意に割り当てられた名前、識別子、若しくはアドレス等を用いてネットワークノード500が識別される場合にも、ネットワーク管理システム100は、ネットワークアドレスが同じ別のネットワークノードからネットワークノード500を識別できる。
 図5は、本実施形態におけるネットワーク監視システムのネットワーク設定情報及びNMP情報の設定に係るプロトコルシーケンスの一例を示すシーケンスチャートである。
 本動作例では、ネットワークノード500がサブネットBに接続した場合について説明する。尚、図3と同じ符号を付したステップは、図3と同じ動作なので、適宜、説明を省略する。
 ネットワークノード500がサブネットBに接続されると(ステップS505)、ネットワークノード500のホスト設定クライアント504は、サブネットBにDHCP Discoverを用いてDHCPサーバ探索を要求する(ステップS512)。
 通信装置300のホスト設定サーバ302は、ネットワークノード500からDHCP Discoverを用いてDHCPサーバ探索要求を受理する(ステップS307)。ホスト設定サーバ302は、ネットワークノード500のホスト設定クライアント504にDHCP Offerを用いてネットワーク設定情報の候補を通知する(ステップS308)。
 ネットワークノード500のホスト設定クライアント504は、通信装置300からDHCP Offerを用いてネットワーク設定情報の候補を受理する(ステップS513)。ホスト設定クライアント504は、通信装置300のホスト設定サーバ302にDHCP Requestを用いてネットワークアドレス等を含むネットワーク設定情報の取得を要求する(ステップS514)。
 通信装置300のホスト設定サーバ302は、ネットワークノード500からDHCP Requestを用いてネットワークアドレス等を含むネットワーク設定情報の取得要求を受理する(ステップS309)。ホスト設定サーバ302は、ネットワーク設定情報を作成する(ステップS312)。ネットワーク設定情報は、サブネットで共有されるIPアドレス空間に属するIPアドレスを含むので、他のネットワークノードのIPアドレスと重複してもよい。
 通信装置300のNMP情報設定手段305は、NMP情報を作成する(ステップS317)。本動作例では、NMP情報は、ネットワークノード500に対するSNMPマネージャとして動作する通信装置300のIPアドレスを含む。NMP情報は、SNMPコミュニティ名(SNMP v1又はv2の場合)、又は、ユーザ名、認証パスワード、若しくは、暗号化パスワード(SNMP v3の場合)等を含んでもよい。
 通信装置300のホスト設定サーバ302は、ネットワークノード500にDHCP Ackを用いてネットワーク設定情報を提供する(ステップS322)。通信装置300のNMP情報設定手段305は、ネットワークノード500にSNMP SET REQUESTを用いてNMP情報を提供する(ステップS327)。
 ネットワークノード500のホスト設定クライアント504は、通信装置300からDHCP Ackを用いてネットワーク設定情報を取得する(ステップS517)。ホスト設定クライアント504は、取得したネットワーク設定情報をネットワークノード500に設定する(ステップS522)。ネットワークノード500のネットワーク管理エージェント508は、通信装置300からSNMP SET REQUESTを用いてNMP情報を取得する(ステップS527)。ネットワーク管理エージェント508は、取得したNMP情報をネットワークノード500に設定する(ステップS532)。
 通信装置300のネットワーク管理マネージャ306は、ネットワークノード500にSNMP GET REQUESTを用いて管理情報の取得を要求する(ステップS332)。
 ネットワークノード500のネットワーク管理エージェント508は、通信装置300から管理情報の取得要求を受信する(ステップ537)。ネットワーク管理エージェント508は、ネットワークノード500の管理情報をSNMP GET RESPONSEを用いて通信装置300に通知する(ステップS542)。ネットワークノード500は、管理情報において、ネットワークノード500のMACアドレスを用いて識別される。尚、本動作例では、ネットワークノード500が管理情報において、MACアドレスを用いて識別される例を挙げた。ネットワークノード500は、管理情報において、ネットワークノード500のネットワークアドレスと、通信装置300の、ネットワークアドレス、名前、若しくは識別子等との組を用いて識別されてもよい。あるいは、ネットワークノード500は、管理情報において、ネットワークノード500に一意に割り当てられた名前、識別子、若しくはアドレス等を用いてネットワークノード500が識別されてもよい。
 通信装置300のネットワーク管理エージェント308は、ネットワークノード500からSNMP GET RESPONSEを用いて管理情報を受理する(ステップS337)。ネットワーク管理エージェント308は、受理した管理情報を保存する(ステップS342)。通信装置300のネットワーク管理エージェント308は、保存した管理情報をSNMP TRAPを用いてネットワーク管理システム100に通知する(ステップS347)。
 ネットワーク管理システム100のネットワーク管理マネージャ106は、通信装置300からSNMP TRAPを用いてネットワークノード500の管理情報を受理する(ステップS107)。ネットワーク管理マネージャ106は、受理した管理情報を保存する(ステップS112)。ここで、ネットワークノード500は、管理情報において、ネットワークノード500のMACアドレスを用いて識別される。ネットワーク管理システム100は、管理情報において、ネットワークノード500をMACアドレスを用いて識別する。そのため、ネットワーク管理システム100は、ネットワークアドレスが同じ別のネットワークノードからネットワークノード500を識別できる。ネットワーク管理システム100は、更に、管理情報の更新に基づいて、画面表示等を更新してもよい。
 図6は、本実施形態におけるネットワーク監視システムの管理情報の収集に係るプロトコルシーケンスの一例を示すシーケンスチャートである。
 本動作例では、ネットワーク管理システム100が、ネットワークノード500の管理情報を収集する場合について説明する。尚、図4と同じ符号を付したステップは、図4と同じ動作なので、適宜、説明を省略する。
 ネットワーク管理システム100は、SNMP GET REQUESTを用いてネットワークノード500の管理情報の取得を通信装置300に要求する(ステップS157)。
 通信装置300は、ネットワーク管理システム100からSNMP GET REQUESTを用いて管理情報の取得要求を受理する(ステップS357)。通信装置300は、SNMP GET REQUESTを用いてネットワークノード500の管理情報の取得をネットワークノード500に要求する(ステップS362)。
 ネットワークノード500は、通信装置300からSNMP GET REQUESTを用いて管理情報の取得要求を受理する(ステップS557)。ネットワークノード500は、SNMP GET RESPONSEを用いてネットワークノード500の管理情報を通信装置300に通知する(ステップS562)。
 通信装置300は、ネットワークノード500からSNMP GET RESPONSEを用いて管理情報を受理する(ステップS367)。通信装置300は、SNMP GET RESPONSEを用いてネットワークノード500の管理情報をネットワーク管理システム100に通知する(ステップS372)。
 ネットワーク管理システム100は、通信装置300からSNMP GET RESPONSEを用いて管理情報を受理する(ステップS162)。ネットワーク管理システム100は、ネットワークノード500の管理情報を保存する(ステップS167)。
 尚、図2に示した通信装置907は、図3乃至図6に説明した動作のうち、通信装置300の動作を実行する。
 尚、本動作例では、SNMP GET REQUESTが用いられる例を挙げた。本実施形態では、SNMP GETNEXT REQUESTやSNMP GETBULK REQUEST等が組み合わされて用いられてもよい。
 以上説明したように、本実施形態におけるネットワーク(上述の説明におけるサブネットA及びサブネットBを含むネットワーク)は、ネットワークトラフィックの抑制を考慮してサブネット(上述の説明におけるサブネットB)に分割される。そのため、ネットワークノードのネットワークアドレスは、サブネット間で重複することが可能である。従って、本実施形態におけるネットワーク監視システムは、ネットワークノードの、ネットワーク設定及びNMP情報の設定を自動化する場合において、必要なネットワークアドレス空間を縮小できる。
 尚、上述の動作例では、NMPとしてSNMPが利用された場合の例を挙げた。しかし、本実施形態はSNMPに限られない。NMPは、クライアントに対してサーバとして動作し、サーバに対してクライアントとして動作するノードを許容するタイプのプロトコルであればよい。NMPは、例えば、CMIP(Common Management Information Protocol)、WS-Management(Web Service for Management)でも良い。上述の動作例では、ホスト設定プロトコルとしてDHCPが利用された場合の例を挙げた。しかし、本実施形態はDHCPに限られない。ホスト設定プロトコルは、特定のネットワークアドレス空間から動的に1つのネットワークアドレスを付与するタイプのプロトコルであればよい。ホスト設定プロトコルは、例えば、BOOTP(Bootstrap Protocol)であっても良い。
 以上、実施形態を参照して本願発明を説明したが、本願発明は上記実施形態に限定されるものではない。本願発明の構成や詳細には、本願発明のスコープ内で当業者が理解し得る様々な変更をすることができる。
 この出願は、2012年8月29日に出願された日本出願特願2012-188521を基礎とする優先権を主張し、その開示の全てをここに取り込む。

Claims (7)

  1.  1つのサブネットに接続されたネットワークノードに、ネットワークの全体で共有されるネットワークアドレス空間に属するネットワークアドレスを含むネットワーク設定情報を提供するホスト設定サーバと、
     前記ネットワークノードの管理情報を収集及び設定するための情報を設定する情報設定手段と、
     前記ネットワークノードに対して、前記管理情報に関する要求の送信及び応答の受信、並びに、前記管理情報の更新の通知の受信を行う管理マネージャと、
     前記管理情報を管理するネットワーク管理システムに対して、前記要求の受信及び前記応答の送信、並びに、前記通知の送信を行う管理エージェントと、
    を備える通信装置と、
     前記通信装置に対して前記管理マネージャとして動作し、ネットワークアドレス以外の識別子を用いて、又は、ネットワークアドレスとネットワークアドレス以外の識別子との組み合わせを用いて、複数の前記ネットワークノードのそれぞれを識別するネットワーク管理システムと、
     1つの前記通信装置に対して前記ホスト設定サーバと通信するホスト設定クライアント及び前記管理エージェントとして動作し、ネットワークアドレス以外の識別子を用いて、又は、ネットワークアドレスとネットワークアドレス以外の識別子との組み合わせを用いて、前記ネットワークノードのそれぞれが識別されるネットワークノードと、
    を備えたことを特徴とするネットワーク監視システム。
  2.  更に、前記ネットワークノードに提供される前記ネットワークアドレス宛てのパケットを、管理対象である前記サブネットに転送するルータを備えた請求項1に記載のネットワーク監視システム。
  3.  更に、前記ネットワーク管理プロトコルがSNMPであり、前記ホスト設定サーバがDHCPサーバである請求項1又は2に記載のネットワーク監視システム。
  4.  更に、前記ネットワークノードの管理情報が前記ネットワークノードのMACアドレスを含む請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載のネットワーク監視システム。
  5.  1つのサブネットに接続されたネットワークノードに、ネットワークの全体で共有されるネットワークアドレス空間に属するネットワークアドレスを含むネットワーク設定情報を提供するホスト設定サーバと、
     前記ネットワークノードの管理情報を収集及び設定するための情報を設定する情報設定手段と、
     前記ネットワークノードに対して、管理情報に関する要求の送信及び応答の受信、並びに、管理情報更新の通知の受信を行う管理マネージャと、
     前記ネットワークノードの管理情報を管理するネットワーク管理システムに対して、前記要求の受信及び前記応答の送信、並びに、前記通知の送信を行う管理エージェントと、
    を備えたことを特徴とする通信装置。
  6.  1つのサブネットに接続されたネットワークノードに、ネットワークの全体で共有されるネットワークアドレス空間に属するネットワークアドレスを含むネットワーク設定情報を提供し、
     前記ネットワークノードの管理情報を収集及び設定するための情報を設定し、
     前記ネットワークノードに対して、管理情報に関する要求の送信及び応答の受信、並びに、管理情報更新の通知の受信を行い、
     前記ネットワークノードの管理情報を管理するネットワーク管理システムに対して、前記要求の受信及び前記応答の送信、並びに、前記通知の送信を行う、
    ことを特徴とするネットワーク管理方法。
  7.  通信装置が備えるコンピュータを、
     1つのサブネットに接続されたネットワークノードに、ネットワークの全体で共有されるネットワークアドレス空間に属するネットワークアドレスを含むネットワーク設定情報を提供する手段と、
     前記ネットワークノードの管理情報を収集及び設定するための情報を設定する手段と、
     前記ネットワークノードに対して、管理情報に関する要求の送信及び応答の受信、並びに、管理情報更新の通知の受信を行う手段と、
     前記ネットワークノードの管理情報を管理するネットワーク管理システムに対して、前記要求の受信及び前記応答の送信、並びに、前記通知の送信を行う手段
    として機能させるためのネットワーク管理プログラムを格納した非一時的な記憶媒体。
