Abstract

The hanger relates to household items, and specifically to hangers primarily for pants, but can also be used for hanging other articles such that they are pinch-gripped by the hanger. The hanger comprises two flat plate-like clamping members for the pinch-gripping and holding of articles to be hung, a hook for hanging the hanger, two clamping member holders, and a securing element for keeping the clamping members pinched together and for un-pinching the clamping members. The clamping member holders are made of springy wire in the form of a right-angle element having two vertical arms, the bottom ends of which arms are affixed in different clamping members. The vertical arms bend to become horizontal arms, on the ends of which are mutual bends, arranged one on top of the other so as to form an opening for holding the bottom end of the hook. The securing element is made of springy wire in the form of two triangular elements, one at each end, connected by a common wire and encompassing pairs of vertical arms of the holders. The securing element can move along the vertical arms of the holders, and when the securing element is in the top position, the clamping members are un-pinched for inserting the article to be hung therebetween, whereas when the securing element is in the bottom position, the clamping members are pinched together, thus keeping the article hanging. The securing element is made so that the distance between the vertices of the triangular elements is smaller than the distance between the vertical arms of the holders, and the free ends of the securing element are bent upwards relative to the horizontal arms of the holders. A reliable and high-quality hold of articles to be hung is achieved. The hanger is easily maintained in comparison to similar products and is reliable in operation.
