Abstract

The invention relates to a device for packing merchandise to be forwarded, made of cardboard, paper or any other flexible material, comprising a container (10) in which to place the merchandise to be forwarded by a consignor, and a sending flap (12) suitable for closing the device before sending it to a consignee and comprising an adhesive sending tongue (26) for closing the container and a tear-off sending tongue (28) allowing the container to be opened rapidly. The device also comprises a return flap (14) comprising a tear-off return tongue (38) and an adhesive return tongue (36) suitable for closing the container once it has been opened by the consignee in such a way as to be able to reship the device to the consignor or to another pre-determined address.

Most of the time, the author of the order pre-pays the object or merchandise ordered by check or credit card. When the payment has been made, he receives a package or package containing what he ordered and delivered to his home.

Since the carrier is usually in a hurry to deliver other packages, the customer can only perform a visual check of what the package contains without knowing whether the content is consistent with what he has paid.

The current system therefore has a number of major disadvantages for the customer. First of all, most people are afraid that when they pay on the Internet using their credit card, their credit card number is hijacked by hacking and used for fraudulent purposes.

A second disadvantage is that people are usually reluctant to pay for goods they have not received before, and then rely on a specialized company to deliver the goods to them. commodity. Many think that they are not guaranteed to be delivered by wondering if they can trust a delivery man they did not choose. Despite the existence of systems like "Paypal" and the counter-refund, there are many complaints.

A third disadvantage, and not the least, is that the control of the goods can be carried out only after the preliminary payment. Even for parcels shipped against refund, the check by the customer is done only once the amount paid to the deliveryman. After opening the package, the customer only has the opportunity to ask the driver to make observations but not to be refunded.

Finally, there may be fraud during the transport of the package when it is opened by a malicious delivery to appropriate its contents. If the fraud is well done, it is undetectable by the customer upon receipt of the package. The latter can not therefore make reservations to the deliveryman and thus finds himself in a contentious situation where he can hardly prove his good faith.

When it turns out that the package does not contain the goods ordered, it remains for the customer to reship it in a new package and to be reimbursed. Apart from the fact that this redirection is tedious, the refund is not at all certain if the customer does not bring sufficient evidence of non-compliance of the delivery.

Presentation of the invention

One of the aims of the present invention is to overcome the above drawbacks by providing a merchandise packaging device to convey to a customer that allows the latter to pay only if the merchandise corresponds to what he ordered.

Another object of the invention is to provide a device for packaging merchandise to be conveyed to a customer adapted to be returned to the sender if the goods received by the customer does not correspond to what he ordered.

The object of the invention is a packaging device for goods to be conveyed in cardboard, paper or any other flexible material comprising a container to place the goods to be conveyed by a sender, a sending flap adapted to close the device before sending it to a recipient and comprising a sending adhesive tab for closing said container and a pulling tear tab for rapid opening of said container. The device further comprises a return flap different from the sending flap and having a return tearing tab and a return adhesive tab adapted to close the container after it has been opened by the recipient. to resend the device to the sender or to another predetermined address.

According to a second aspect, the invention also relates to a routing method of the packaging device above, comprising the following steps:

the customer orders a merchandise from a supplier, paying only the delivery costs by a carrier,

the supplier prepares the packaging device and transfers it closed to the carrier,

Detailed description of the invention

According to the main embodiment of the invention, the packaging device is a package intended to convey goods or merchandise from a shipper to a consignee, by calling upon a transport company which delivers the package directly to the shipper. home of the recipient or customer. Note that the transport company can be La Poste or any other private transport company.

Such a package is shown in the open position in Figure 1. It comprises a container 10 adapted to place the goods to be conveyed and having a first flap said sending flap 12 and a second flap said flap 14 . When the merchandise has been placed in the container 10, the second flap 14 is introduced into the container 10, above the merchandise, as illustrated in FIG.

Note that the return flap 14 has a location 17 in which there is a return slip for return of the goods as mentioned below.

As for most current packages, the first flap which is the closure flap, is formed of a closure element 15 serving as the upper part of the container and two large wings 16 and 18. To close the package, it reduces, by rotation, the first flap 12 above the container while inserting the two large fins inside the container as shown in Figure 3.

Note that the sending flap 15 includes a location 19 on which is placed a packing slip generally containing the address of the recipient as in any package.

The first flap 12 also has two small fins 20 and 22 which are adapted to fit on the lateral ends of the container 10 in such a way that it is impossible to open a space in order to withdraw or to see the contents of the package without the latter being torn.

In the first flap 12, the two small fins 20 and 22 are on either side of a strip 24 comprising two tongues, a sending adhesive tongue 26 and a pulling tear tongue 28. When two large fins 16 and 18 have been inserted in the container 10, the front face 30 of the package is as shown in Figure 4. As seen in this figure, the front face 30 has a safety band 32.

To final closure of the package, the two small fins 20 and 22 are inserted into the container at both ends as mentioned above. Then, the end of the first flap is folded against the front of the package. Adhesive sending tongue 26 is adapted to position exactly at the location of the security strip 32. The protective paper which covers the adhesive adhesive tab 26 is then removed so that the adhesive tongue comes to adhere to the security strip 32 .

Following the operations described above with reference to Figures 1 to 4, the package shown in Figure 5 is ready to be forwarded to the recipient by a transport company.

Note that the closure element 15 of the first flap 12 which is the top of the package, usually has a unique serial number 34 which ensures that the package, which will eventually be returned, is the same as that which was shipped.

When the recipient receives the package, it proceeds to its opening tearing the pulling tear tab 28. It then checks that the goods contained in the container 10 corresponds to the one he ordered. If this is the case, he keeps the package and directly pays the agreed price to the carrier.

According to the essential principle of the invention, the consignee, if he finds that the merchandise received does not correspond to that which he has ordered, has the option of returning the parcel to the sender or any other predetermined address through the carrier and without having to pay the price of the goods ordered.

To do this, the first flap 12 which now has only the closure element 15 with the two large tabs 16 and 18, is folded inside the container 10 at the outset of the goods to be forwarded. The second flap 14, illustrated in FIG. 1, which also comprises two tongues, an adhesive return tongue 36 and a return tear tongue 38, is folded over the container 10, the portion of the flap comprising the adhesive tongue of reference 36 and the return tearing tab 38 being placed against the rear face of the container. As mentioned previously, the return flap has a location 17 which contains a return slip. This form generally includes the address of the sender to whom the parcel is returned, but could include a different address or even contain nothing so as to return the package to an address written by the recipient in location 17.

Note that the rear face of the container comprises a safety band (not shown in the figures) identical to the safety band 32, on which is positioned exactly the adhesive return tongue 36 shown in Figure 1. According to a preferred embodiment, the security strip 32 as well as the one on the rear face of the container 10 and used to forward the package, are colored, for example by means of color bands 40, and contains ink that reacts with a solvent. Although the essential object of the invention is the presence of a different sending flap and a return flap, the package could have only one flap 42 as shown in Figure 6. Such a flap has several successive pairs of tongues, an adhesive tongue and a pull tab. Thus, in FIG. 6, four pairs of this type have been represented. The package then has as many safety strips as there are adhesive tabs on the flap 42. For the final closure of the package before it is sent to the customer, it is necessary, as before, to remove the paper strip protecting the most extreme adhesive tab of the flap 42. In the case of FIG. 6, the adhesive tab to be used as adhesive adhesive tongue is the adhesive tongue 44.

When the package is received by the customer, it is opened by pulling the tear-off tab coupled to the adhesive tongue, that is to say the pull tab 46 in the case of Figure 6.

If the goods contained in the parcel do not correspond to those ordered by the customer, the parcel is closed and returned to the sender or any other predetermined address. To do this, it is necessary, after removal of the protective paper strip, to glue the most extreme return adhesive tongue of the flap 42 on the appropriate safety strip, namely the adhesive tongue 48 since the adhesive tongue exists more. In a variant of this method, packages are provided by a specialized company, responsible for the manufacture of packages. Although the embodiments which have just been described relate to the routing of a package, the invention can be applied to any other routing means, and in particular to flat objects such as envelopes. In this case, the envelope comprises a conventional flap which closes the envelope with an adhesive tongue, but also a flap which is placed inside the envelope before closing. The second flap also has an adhesive tongue as in the case of the package.
