L'invention concerne un procédé de traitement fondé sur une synchronisation d'informations sur des états de lecture, comprenant les étapes suivantes : un serveur de synchronisation détermine des paramètres de fréquence d'indication d'informations sur des états de lecture en fonction d'informations sur des états de lecture de clients de synchronisation, et envoie ces paramètres de fréquence d'indication d'informations sur des états de lecture aux clients de synchronisation ; les clients de synchronisation ajustent les fréquences d'indication en fonction des paramètres de fréquence d'indication d'information sur des états de lecture et transmettent les informations sur des états de lecture au serveur de synchronisation. Cette invention concerne également un système de traitement, un serveur de synchronisation et un client de synchronisation fondés sur une synchronisation d'informations sur des états de lecture. Selon l'invention, un serveur de synchronisation commande, en fonction d'une situation concrète, une fréquence d'indication d'informations sur des états de lecture concernant les paquets multimédia d'un client de synchronisation, de sorte que dans de bonnes conditions de synchronisation, il ne soit pas nécessaire pour le client de synchronisation de mettre en œuvre un processus de synchronisation pour chacune des données des paquets multimédia.
