Abstract

Disclosed is a method for controlling browser running, comprising: when an operation instruction that a user enters a browser to access a webpage is detected, determining whether the webpage accessed by the user matches prestored habit information about the user accessing the webpage on the browser; and according to a determination result, sending a corresponding prompt to the user, where the habit information of the user comprises an access information record of a website accessed by the user on the browser and operation information corresponding to the access information record. Further disclosed is a device for controlling browser running. By means of the present invention, when the user accesses the webpage on the browser, the corresponding prompt is provided for the user according to the stored habit information, thereby improving the interactivity and user experience when the user uses the browser.
