Abstract

A method and device for controlling a television based on an eyeball action, which relate to the field of wireless communications. The method comprises the following steps: through collecting a head image or an eye image of a user, generating an eyeball control start signal; according to the eyeball control start signal, collecting an operation action of an eyeball, and generating a corresponding operation signal; comparing the generated operation signal with all pre-saved customized operation signals to find a control instruction corresponding to the customized operation signal adapting to the generated operation signal; controlling the television by using the control instruction. Embodiments of the present invention enable a user to implement the function of controlling a television without using other body parts such as hands within a fully active area of watching the television, so that use of a user becomes convenient and simple.
