Disclosed are a method and wireless communication device for implementing a wireless headset feature of a television. The method comprises the steps of: establishing a wireless connection between a first wireless communication module of the wireless communication device and a second wireless communication module of the television, and controlling an audio playback channel of the television to switchover to a wireless headset channel; transmitting an audio signal of the television to the wireless communication device via the second wireless communication module of the television; the wireless communication device controls an audio playback channel thereof to switchover to a headset channel, where the audio signal is outputted via a headset. This adds a new feature to the wireless communication device such as a mobile phone, provides the wireless headset feature of the smart television, is capable of utilizing the wireless communication device to implement the wireless headset feature of the television, obviates the need to purchase a dedicated wireless headset for the television, thus conserving costs, while at the same time, the wireless communication device of the present invention also is capable of audio volume adjustments by means of increasing or decreasing the television audio received, thus further providing convenience to users.
