Description

TOOTHBRUSH STRUCTURE
The present invention relates to a toothbrush structure. More specifically, the invention relates to a toothbrush structure of the manual type.
As is known, toothbrushes of different styles, which can be manual or electric, are widespread on the market. Usually, toothbrushes of the manual type are provided with a head provided with bristles, which is fixed with respect to the body of the toothbrush, and its detergent action is performed by the user who grips the toothbrush and moves it at different angles.
However, the detergent action of the head of the toothbrush is not effective, in that it is necessary to perform a movement that is nonlinear, but rather rotating, of the type used by an orbital polisher to polish materials of different types.
This rotary movement is not possible however with manual toothbrushes, or with electric toothbrushes, with conventional rectangular heads.
The aim of the present invention is to provide a toothbrush structure that makes it possible to provide a cleaning action that can be actuated with the user actuating the body of the toothbrush in a conventional manner.
Within this aim, an object of the present invention is to provide a toothbrush structure that makes it possible for the user to obtain a rotary effect while acting with rectilinear movements to move the toothbrush in contact with the surface of the teeth.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a toothbrush structure that is highly reliable, easily and practically implemented and at low cost.
This aim and these and other objects which will become better apparent hereinafter are achieved by a toothbrush structure, comprising a body of the toothbrush which is provided at one end with a cleaning head, characterized in that said head is accommodated in said body of the toothbrush so as to rotate.
Further characteristics and advantages of the invention will become better apparent from the description of some preferred, but not exclusive, embodiments of the toothbrush structure according to the present invention, which are illustrated by way of non-limiting example in the accompanying drawings, wherein:
Figure 1 is a perspective view of the toothbrush according to the present invention;
Figure 2 is an exploded perspective view of the toothbrush according to the present invention; and
Figure 3 is a partially sectional view of the toothbrush according to the present invention.
With reference to the figures, the toothbrush structure according to the invention, generally designated by the reference numeral 1 , comprises a body 2 of the toothbrush which is provided at one end with a cleaning head 3 made with bristles. Conveniently, the body 2 is contoured like a professional counterangle, which is the tool that dentists use for surgical operations.
The head 3 is conveniently provided by a body of the head 4, which is contoured so as to present an indentation 5 which is interposed between two protruding portions 6 and 7, which substantially define two circular crowns. The portion 6 will be cylindrical, while the section 7 will be frustum- shaped, and the intermediate connecting section 5 will have a curvilinear profile.
The head is conveniently provided with a diametral hole 8. The head thus provided is adapted to be accommodated in a seat 9, defined in the body 2 of the toothbrush 1 , which is provided with a through channel 10 which is connected to the hole 8 of the head.
The shape of the head enables the head to perform a rotation that alternates between one direction and the other, i.e. the head performs a half turn forward and a half turn backward, and thus we have an optimal detergent action, without requiring the user to perform a specific movement with the body 2 of the toothbrush 1.
The counterangle ergonometry of the body of the toothbrush makes it possible for the user to grip the toothbrush in an optimal manner, and thus perform a cleaning action, together with an alternating rotating action of the cleaning head 3.
In practice it has been found that the toothbrush according to the present invention fully achieves the set aim and objects, in that it makes it possible to achieve a cleaning operation with an alternating rotation with a half turn forward and a half turn backward of the cleaning head, together with a handle of the body of the toothbrush shaped like a counterangle.
The toothbrush structure thus conceived is susceptible of numerous modifications and variations, all of which are within the scope of the appended claims. Moreover, all the details may be substituted by other, technically equivalent elements.
In practice the materials employed, and the contingent dimensions and shapes, may be any according to requirements and to the state of the art.
Where the technical features mentioned in any claim are followed by reference numerals and/or signs, those reference numerals and/or signs have been included for the sole purpose of increasing the intelligibility of the claims and accordingly, such reference numerals and/or signs do not have any limiting effect on the interpretation of each element identified by way of example by such reference numerals and/or signs.
