Abstract
Disclosed are a terminal and a working method thereof. The method comprises: a terminal performing registration in mobile networks with various network modes successively, recording a timeslot period of the terminal in the mobile network, and system and terminal parameter information, and entering a standby state of a timeslot mode of the mobile network after the registration is completed; and before a wakeup time period of a timeslot period of a nearest mobile network arrives, the terminal controlling, according to the recorded timeslot period of each mobile network, a multimode single-standby baseband chip and a radio frequency chip to work in a network mode corresponding to the mobile network, performing downlink synchronization to the mobile network by using the recorded parameter information, performing network monitoring on the mobile network in the wakeup time period of the timeslot period, and controlling the terminal to enter the standby state of the timeslot mode of the mobile network again after service processing of the mobile network is completed. The present invention can lower the power consumption and cost of a multimode multi-standby terminal and reduce its volume.
