Abstract
The invention relates to a method for error recognition in a precharge process for an electrical load (8) with a capacitive element, particularly an intermediate-circuit capacitor (6), having the following steps: the precharge process is started (S2) by closing a circuit through the electrical load (8) using a precharge circuit (10); a statement about a flow of current through the precharge circuit (10) is captured (S3); and an error is recognized (S4) if the statement about the flow of current does not fall below a prescribed threshold value within a predetermined period after the precharge process is started.
