Abstract

The proposed information input device comprises a sheath in the form of a fingerstall (1), which is formed with the possibility of being fixed to the thumb (2) of a user's hand (3), and information input unit (9) and at least one tactile switching element (8), which is capable of being actuated on contact with at least one free finger (5) of the user's hand (3) and transmitting a command to the information input unit (9). The fingerstall (1) has a shape which is suitable for said fingerstall to be placed at least on the distal phalanx (4) of the thumb (2) of the user's hand (3) and keeps the fingers (5) of this hand (3) having three phalanges (6) free. At least one tactile switching element (8) is a tactile switching element (8) of the touchpad (10) type which is attached to the fingerstall (1) in an area which is accessible for contact by at least one free finger (5) of this hand (3).
