Description
FASTENING DEVICE WITH ALARM FOR FIXING ELEMENTS AND METHOD FOR SETTING-UP THEREOF
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to the technical field concerning fastening devices with alarm and in particular relates to a fastening device with alarm and the method for setting-up the thereof. BACKGROUND ART
There are known passive antitheft fastening devices made with removable joining means, for example bolts, consisting of elements which reduce the easiness and the possibility to tamper said fastening devices. These devices are anti-tear and anti- burglar elements or constraint devices equipped with specific and unique keys assigned to mount the same fastening device.
The aforesaid fastening devices are passive anti-theft and are usually used in combination with anti-theft systems such as active alarms of type optical/acoustic type and/or control systems by means of optic fibre or other technology type suitable for said use.
Other know device are disclosed in the following documents. US 2.890.734 discloses wire locked bolt assemblies and an improved method for the production thereof.
GB 6.077.745 relates to nuts of the kind which are locked to bolt or stud members, to which they are usually detachably attached by ' screwing, by means of a piece or length of wire.
US 5.1 16.178 discloses a safety cable used to prevent loosening of threaded fasteners. A multi-strand cable is strung through holes in the fasteners and is held in place by sleeves which are crimped over the cable ends. The cable dampens vibration better than solid wire, which is used presently, and, for a given weight of cable,
provides greater strength than solid wire, thus saving weight, which is important in aircraft applications.
CN 101.338.778 discloses an electronic anti-theft bolt, which is used in conjunction with a sensor and an alarm host computer and mated with a cup-nut shaped to protect the related device from being stolen.
The main disadvantage of known passive type devices consists in the difficulty of remote control, and in the inability to implement a continuous control of elements located remotely, far away or in different rooms.
The main disadvantage of known active type anti-theft systems is the complexity of installation involving a consistent number of operating steps that involves firstly mounting the elements to be alarmed on support means, then fixing the antitheft means to said elements to be protected with alarm and finally connecting the antitheft means to the alarm control system..
DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION The main purpose of the present invention is to propose a fastening device with alarm that allows a continuous control of elements placed far away or in different rooms.
Further purpose of the present invention is to propose a fastening device with alarm allowing a very fast and easy setting-up and a method for setting-up thereof.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
The characteristics of the invention are highlighted in the following with particular reference to the accompanying drawings wherein:
- Figure 1 shows a schematic perspective view of the device object of the present invention installed on a photovoltaic system;
- Figure 2 shows a front view of the device for fastening and protecting a canvas;
- Figure 3 shows a transverse sectional view along the line Ill-Ill of Figure 2;
- Figures 4, 5 and 6 show the device object of the present invention in three different embodiments.
BEST MODE OF CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
With reference to Figures 1 to 6, numeral 1 indicates a fastening device with alarm, for example, for solar panels, of art work piece, antiques, and precious objects to be protected and also placed each other far away.
The preferred embodiment provides that the fastening device 1 for elements to a supporting structure 1 1 , such as type solar panels 8 in Figure 1 and art work piece in Figures 2 and 3, is a high resistance screw made of stainless steel for safety reasons and to be more suitable for use in environments exposed to adverse weather conditions.
The screw comprises a shank 2 to which a head element 3 is connected.
The shank 2 is threaded, or partially threaded, and is provided with a free end almost flat, as shown in Figure 4, or tipped, as shown in Figures 5 and 6.
The head 3 is preferably hexagonal shaped with three through holes 4 orthogonal with respect to two opposite faces of the head 3, as shown in Figure 4.
The device 1 is used to fasten the solar panels 8 or the canvas 9 to the supporting surface 11 , respectively, the ground or a roof or a vertical wall. A free end of a conductor means 5, such as a wire or a cable or an optical fibre, is passed through one of three holes 4 drilled on the head 3 of the device 1 and then it is connected at the other end, to a control circuit of a antitheft means 12, known and only schematically shown in Figure 1. The conductor means 5 is not necessarily an electric conductor but it can also be a non-conductive, but merely a means of suitable signal carrier used in alarm means.
The control circuit comprises a light source 6 and a light detector means 7 which together contribute to obtain an alarm system known and not illustrated.
Advantageously, the device 1 simultaneously works for fixing each solar panel 8 or canvas 9 to the surface 11 and for combining an alarm system, without the need to use additional components to anchor any system alarm to panels 8 or canvas 9 as instead it is necessary for the known devices.
Therefore, the invention also relates to a method for setting-up said fastening device with alarm 1 providing the following steps:
putting the elements 8, 9 in the desired fixing position;
fixing each element 8, 9 to the structure 11 by fastening the device with alarm 1 ;
tightening the fastening device with alarm 1 by a suitable tool;
passing the conductor means 5, such as an optical fiber, through the through hole 4 of the head 3;
connecting the free ends of the conductor means 5 to the antitheft means 12. A variant of the preferred embodiment of the fastening device 1 provides that the conductor means is an electrical conductor cable connected to the antitheft means 12.
A further variant of the preferred embodiment shown in Figure 5 provides that the free end of the shank 3 has a tip 14, for example to fix the panels to metal structures 1 1 , that is, indifferently, threaded shank, partially threaded or smooth to be used, in this case, as a nail for fixing the canvas 9 on wall 1 1.
A second embodiment of the fixing device 1 provides that the head element 3 has a shaped slot 13 to accommodate a key, for example hex screw having the same shape, so as to complicate further the possible tampering of the device 1 so better acting as anti-theft protection for solar panel 8 or canvas 9.
The main advantage of the present invention is to provide a fastening device with alarm allowing a continuous control for elements placed far away or in different rooms.
Further advantage of the present invention is to provide a fastening device with alarm allowing a very fast and easy setting-up and a method for setting-up thereof.
