Abstract

There is described a cationic polyurethane dispersion comprising a reaction product of: a di-functional polyol, an isocyanate monomer or a polyisocyanate pre-polymer, and a tertiary amine containing diol in the presence of a solvent and a weak, volatile acid; and their use in blocking tannin migration from surfaces containing tannin.
