Abstract

The invention relates to a headrest (21) for a seat (1), comprising a support frame (25) which can be fixed to the seat and a textile fabric (26) which is retained on the support frame (25) and which forms a support surface (27) for a user. The textile fabric (26) is made of a meshing, such as a knitted or woven fabric, and is stretched on the support element (25) in a self-supporting and shaping manner. The support surface (27) of the fabric (26) has multiple zones (28, 29, 30, 31) with different degrees of elastic deformability relative to one another. The invention also relates to another headrest (21) with a head cushion (54) and a connecting structure (50) for connecting to the seat (1), wherein the head cushion (54) has a support surface (57) which faces away from the seat (1) and a rear surface (58) which faces away from the support surface. The head cushion (54) is made of a textile part (45) in which a sub-portion forms a base layer (53) for the head cushion (54), and a support body (55) of the head cushion (54) is made of multiple textile part (45) layer portions (56) which lie one over the other.
