Abstract

Document engine of present invention provide for selecting a portion of a document within a document viewer and uploading the portion to a database from the document viewer. The selection of database, table and/or field may be made through a menu of the document viewer. Uploading the portion of the document is made to the selected field. The portion may be text. The document may be a patent document and the plurality fields may comprise related art, embodiment 1, embodiment 2, background, claims, expert comment, figure description. The document viewer may comprise at least one of web browser, text editor. A database with fields ' to store the different context data is provided. A search engine searches the key word in the different context field and provides the result based on the presence of the key word in the different context field.
