Abstract

The invention relates to an emergency power supply circuit for an emergency lowering unit (100) for an electromotive adjusting drive (7, 8) of a piece of furniture (1). The at least one electromotive adjusting drive (7, 8) is electrically connected to a control device (9), said control device (9) comprising a motor controller (93) having switch elements for switching an electric motor of the at least one adjusting drive (7, 8) and the emergency lowering unit (100) is designed so it can be joined to the control unit in an electrically conductive manner or is integrated therein, and a battery (101) which is designed as a mains-independent voltage source which can be connected to the control device (9) for supplying a power supply to the motor controller (93) by means of the emergency circuit (102) in the event of an emergency. Said emergency power supply circuit is characterised in that it comprises a DC voltage converter (103) for increasing input voltage (UE) to an output voltage (UA). The input voltage (UE) corresponds to the output voltage of the battery (101) and the output voltage (UA) lies above a critical control voltage of the circuit element of the motor controller (93) of the control unit (9).
