This application claims priority to Israel Application No. 218252 filed 22nd February, 2012, incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.
Field of the Inve ntion
The present invention relates to the field of bathroom plumbing. Specifically, this invention relates to a pop-up handle for a sewage apparatus's cover such as drum trap cover.
Background
In order to clear a clogged drain sewage system, a cover of the drain trap must be removed in order to get access to the plumbing. Removing the cover of the drain trap enables the removal of the clog with a wire coat hanger and then with a stiff brush and hot soapy water. Usually a drain trap cover and other plumbing apparatus covers are difficult to remove. Removing the cover requires the use of a screw driver or a crow bar-type pole. The removal of the cover of a home plumber's apparatus is even more difficult when the sewage plumbing is clogged, and the apparatus is filled with sewage water.
In order to assist a plumber or even a "DIY" (Do It Yourself) operator to clear a clogged drain, a special cover for a swage apparatus is designed a cover with a pop-up handle. When not in use the handle is embedded into the cover, leaving a smooth surface. In order to open a cover, the handle can pop- up thus enabling to use the handle for unscrewing or pulling out the cover. After the sewage apparatus is treated the cover is put back into place and the handle is put back to the embedded position.
It is an object of the invention to provide a pop up handle for cover for a sewage apparatus.
Summary of the Invention
The present invention relates to a pop-up handle for a sewage apparatus cover such as drum trap cover which comprises:
A. The sewages cover (100).
B. A pop-up handle (200).

Detail of a preferred embodiment of invention
In order to clear a clogged drain sewage system, the cover of the drain trap must be removed in order to get access to the plumbing. The removal of the drain trap, enables cleaning out the clog with wire coat hanger and then with stiff brush and hot soapy water. In the preferred embodiment of the invention there is a pop up handle (200) that enables an easy removal of the drain trap cover and other plumbing apparatus covers. Even when sewage plumbing is clogged and the drain trap or any other plumbing apparatus is filled with sewage water the task of removing the cover in the preferred embodiment of the invention is easy.
When not in use, the handle is embedded into the cover (300), leaving the smooth surface. In order to open the cover, the handle (200) is rotated to the pop up position (100) thus enabling to unscrew and remove the cover. After the sewage apparatus's treatment is completed, the cover can be screwed back into place and the handle is rotated back to the embedded position (300).
Claims
1. A sewage apparatus cover with a pop-up handle.
2. The cover described in claim 1 made from any material.
3. The cover described in claim 1 applies to any home sewage apparatus such as distribution boxes, inspection boxes or drum traps.
4. The cover described in claim 1 applies to any out of home sewage apparatus such as distribution boxes, inspection boxes or drum traps.
