In view of this, a portable electronic device that has a waterproof structure and has an electrical connection portion arranged inside the waterproof structure has been proposed.
An example of a portable electronic device having a waterproof structure will be described with reference to FIGS.
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a related portable electronic device as seen from the front side, and FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the portable electronic device shown in FIG. 1 as seen from the back side. FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the portable electronic device cut along the AA plane shown in FIGS.
1 to 3, the portable electronic device 1 includes an electronic device body 2 and an electrical component 3. The electronic device main body 2 is housed in a housing 6 including a front housing component 4 and a back housing component 5.
A recess 7 is formed in the housing 6, and the electrical component 3 is detachably accommodated in the recess 7. FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view for explaining the recess 7.
As shown in FIG. 4, the back-side casing component 5 removes one corner formed by two adjacent side surfaces of a hollow substantially rectangular parallelepiped and is adjacent to only one of the two side surfaces. One side surface is removed to have an open shape. The back-side housing component 5 is fixed to the front-side housing component 4 so that the side released by removing one side surface of the back-side housing component 5 is closed by the front-side housing component 4.
The recess 7 is defined by the surface of the front housing part 4 facing the back housing part 5 and the inner surface of the back housing part 5. Moreover, the edge 5a of the surface which opposes the front side housing component 4 of the back side housing component 5, the edge 5b of the site | part adjacent to the front side housing component 4 of the back side housing component 5, and the back side The opening of the recessed portion 7 is formed by two edges that connect both ends of the edges 5 a and 5 b of the housing component 5.
The electrical component 3 (FIG. 3) is taken in and out from the recess 7 through the opening of the recess 7. The electric component 3 is detached from the electronic device main body 2 by moving in the attaching / detaching direction X that is attached / detached from the recess 7.
Moreover, the portable electronic device 1 includes a cover member 8 that covers the opening of the recess 7. The cover member 8 is detachably combined with the housing 6. 5 and 6 are a perspective view and a rear view of the portable electronic device 1 with the cover member 8 removed. FIG. 6 shows a rear view in which a part of the rear-side casing component 5 is cut away.
As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, the portable electronic device 1 has a lock member 9 that restricts the movement of the electrical component 3 in the attaching / detaching direction X. The electronic device main body 2 is formed with a hole 10 dug along a direction Y intersecting with the attaching / detaching direction X, and the lock member 9 is disposed so as to protrude into the hole 10.
The hole 10 is located closer to the attachment / detachment direction X than the recess 7, and when the lock member 9 protrudes from the hole 10, the lock member 9 restricts the movement of the electrical component 3 in the attachment / detachment direction X. When the electric component 3 is moved in the attaching / detaching direction X, the lock member 9 is pushed into the hole 10.
As shown in FIGS. 3 and 6, the electrical component 3 includes a connection terminal (hereinafter, component-side terminal 11) on the outer peripheral surface, and the electronic device main body 2 has a connection terminal (hereinafter, body-side terminal) inside the recess 7. 12). When the electrical component 3 is accommodated in the recessed portion 7, the component-side terminal 11 comes into contact with the body-side terminal 12, and the electrical component 3 is electrically connected to the electronic device body 2. By restricting the movement of the electric component 3 in the attaching / detaching direction X by the lock member 9, the electric component 3 is more reliably electrically connected to the electronic device main body 2.
Moreover, since the cover member 8 is combined with the housing 6 so as to cover the opening of the recess 7 and the lock member 9, the electrical component 3 and the lock member 9 are not exposed, and the appearance of the portable electronic device 1 is improved. To do.
Further, the cover member 8 is provided with a packing 13, and the cover member 8 and the packing 13 prevent liquid from flowing into the recess 7. FIG. 7 is an enlarged cross-sectional view of the vicinity of the cover member 8 of the portable electronic device 1 shown in FIG. FIG. 8 is a perspective view of the cover member 8 as seen from the back side, and FIG. 9 is a perspective view of the cover member 8 as seen from the front side. FIG. 10 is a six-sided view of the cover member 8 shown in FIGS. 8 and 9 as seen from the directions indicated by the black arrows a to f. FIG. 11 is a perspective view of a part of the electronic device body 2, the electrical component 3, the cover member 8, the component-side terminal 11, and the body-side terminal 12.
7 to 9, the cover member 8 is formed with a packing holding portion 14 for holding the packing. The packing holding part 14 is a cylindrical member having a rectangular cross section that extends in the direction Y from the surface 8a facing the direction Y in the surface of the cover member 8 that covers the opening of the recess 7. The side wall of the packing holding part 14 located on the attaching / detaching direction X side is formed longer in the direction Y than the side wall of the packing holding part 14 located on the side opposite to the attaching / detaching direction X.
The packing 13 is arranged on the outer surface of the packing holding part 14 in accordance with the opening shape of the packing holding part 14. By attaching the cover member 8 to the housing 6, the packing 13 is pressed against the surface along the direction Y of the housing 6, and the gap between the cover member 8 and the housing 6 is closed. Therefore, the inflow of the liquid from the outside of the portable electronic device 1 into the recessed portion 7 can be suppressed.
Note that the white arrow shown in FIG. 11 indicates the direction in which the cover member 8 presses the packing 13.
However, in the waterproof structure shown in FIGS. 1 to 11, a part of the packing 13 is pressed by the cover member 8 in the direction D1 (see FIG. 11) opposite to the attaching / detaching direction X. For this reason, when a relatively large impact is applied to the portable electronic device 1 such as an impact at the time of dropping, the waterproof performance may be deteriorated.
Specifically, the electrical component 3 tends to move in the attaching / detaching direction X due to a drop impact of the portable electronic device 1. When the impact of dropping is relatively large, the electrical component 3 temporarily pushes and bends the lock member 9 in the attaching / detaching direction X and applies the impact in the attaching / detaching direction X to the cover member 8. As a result, the force in the direction D1 applied to a part of the packing 13 is temporarily weakened, and a gap is formed between the cover member 8 and the housing 6 to deteriorate the waterproof performance.
A portable electronic device having a waterproof structure that solves such problems is disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2003-142841 (hereinafter referred to as “Patent Document 1”). A portable electronic device disclosed in Patent Document 1 will be described with reference to FIG. The same components as those shown in FIGS. 1 to 11 are denoted by the same reference numerals, and the description thereof is omitted.
FIG. 12 is a perspective view showing a part of the portable electronic device disclosed in Patent Document 1. FIG. As shown in FIG. 12, the cover member 8 of the portable electronic device 15 disclosed in Patent Document 1 is formed on the side covering the opening of the recess 7 so as to be insertable into the recess 7 of the housing 6. A packing receiver 16 is provided. The cover member 8 is rotatably connected to the housing 6 via a hinge pin 17, and the packing receiver 16 is inserted into and removed from the recessed portion 7 as the cover member 8 rotates around the hinge pin 17.
In the waterproof structure of Patent Document 1, the packing 13 is disposed in a region of the outer peripheral surface of the packing receiver 16 that faces the inner surface of the recess 7 when the packing receiver 16 is inserted into the recess 7. That is, in a state where the packing receiver 16 is inserted into the recess 7, the packing 13 is pressed in a direction crossing the attaching / detaching direction X, and the packing receiver 16 is not affected by an impact in the attaching / detaching direction X. The force of pressing does not change. Therefore, even if a relatively large impact is applied to the portable electronic device 15, the waterproof performance of the portable electronic device 15 does not deteriorate.
However, in the waterproof structure disclosed in Patent Document 1, the cover member 8 having the packing receiver 16 is connected to the housing 6 via the hinge pin 17 as shown in FIG. Therefore, depending on the position of the packing receiver 16 in the cover member 8 and the connecting position of the cover member 8 to the housing 6, the position of the packing receiver 16 in the recessed portion 7 is biased. As a result, the force applied to the packing 13 is biased and the waterproof performance is reduced.
In the waterproof structure disclosed in Patent Document 1, the packing receiver 16 inserted into the recess 7 is directly fixed to the cover member 8. Then, the movement of the packing receiver 16 in the attaching / detaching direction X is restricted by restricting the rotation of the cover member 8 using the lock member 18. Since the lock member 18 cannot be covered with the cover member 8, the lock member 18 must be exposed. As a result, the appearance of the portable electronic device 15 looks complicated.
Therefore, an example of the object of the present invention is to provide a waterproof structure and a waterproof method capable of waterproofing more reliably without deteriorating the appearance quality.
In order to achieve the above object, one aspect of the present invention includes a housing, a closing member, a packing, a lock member, and a cover member. The housing has a recess. The closing member is detachably disposed in the recessed portion and closes the opening of the recessed portion. The packing blocks a gap between a side surface of the closing member facing in a direction intersecting with the attaching / detaching direction of the closing member to the recessed portion and an inner surface of the recessed portion facing the side surface. The lock member is provided in the housing and restricts movement of the closing member in the attaching / detaching direction. The cover member is detachably combined with the housing, and covers the closing member disposed in the recess and the lock member in a state where movement of the closing member in the attaching / detaching direction is restricted.
Also, one aspect of the present invention relates to a method for waterproofing a recess formed in a housing. The waterproofing method includes a preparation step, an arrangement step, a closing step, a regulating step, and a covering step. The preparing step is a step of preparing a closing member that is detachably formed in the recess, a packing, a lock member that restricts movement of the closing member, and a cover member that is detachably formed on the housing. . The disposing step is between the side surface of the closing member facing in the direction intersecting with the attaching / detaching direction to the recessed portion of the closing member and the inner surface of the recessed portion facing the side surface when the closing member is disposed in the recessed portion. This is a step of arranging the packing at a position for closing the gap. The closing step is a step of inserting the closing member into the recess and closing the opening of the recess with the closing member and the packing. The restricting step is a step of restricting the movement of the closing member in the attaching / detaching direction using the lock member. The covering step is a step of attaching the cover member to the housing and covering the closing member disposed in the recess and the locking member in a state where movement of the closing member in the attaching / detaching direction is restricted.
According to the present invention, waterproofing can be performed more reliably without deteriorating the appearance quality.

13 is a perspective view of a portable electronic device having a waterproof structure according to the present embodiment as viewed from the front side, and FIG. 14 is a perspective view of the portable electronic device shown in FIG. 13 as viewed from the back side. is there. FIG. 15 is a cross-sectional view of the portable electronic device cut along the BB plane shown in FIGS.
As shown in FIGS. 13 to 15, a portable electronic device 19 according to this embodiment includes an electronic device body 2, an electrical component 3, a housing 6, and a cover member 8. As the electrical component 3, a battery is used.
The housing 6 includes a front-side housing component 4 and a back-side housing component 5, and a recess 7 for housing the electrical component 3 is obtained by combining the front-side housing component 4 and the back-side housing component 5. One side surface is removed to have an open shape. The back-side housing part 5 is fixed to the front-side housing part 4 so as to close the side of the back-side housing part 5 that has been removed by removing one side surface.
The recess 7 is defined by the surface of the front housing part 4 facing the back housing part 5 and the inner surface of the back housing part 5. Moreover, the edge 5a of the surface which opposes the front side housing component 4 of the back side housing component 5, the edge 5b of the site | part adjacent to the front side housing component 4 of the back side housing component 5, and the back side The opening of the recessed portion 7 is formed by two edges connecting the edges 5a and 5b of the housing component 5.
The electrical component 3 (FIG. 15) is taken in and out of the recessed portion 7 through the opening of the rear side casing component 5 that is not blocked by the front casing component 4. The electric component 3 is detached from the electronic device main body 2 by moving in the attaching / detaching direction X to be attached / detached from the recess 7.
The display unit 20 is disposed on the front casing part 4. The display unit 20 displays an image stored in advance in the portable electronic device 19 or an image taken into the portable electronic device 19 from the outside of the portable electronic device 19.
The cover member 8 is detachably combined with the housing 6. 17 and 18 are a perspective view and a rear view of the portable electronic device 19 with the cover member 8 removed. In addition, in FIG. 18, the rear view which notched some back side housing components 5 is shown. FIG. 19 is an enlarged view of a portion of the portable electronic device 19 where the cover member 8 is combined. FIG. 20 is a cross-sectional view of the state shown in FIG. 19 taken along a plane parallel to the attachment / detachment direction X and across the front-side casing component 4 and the back-side casing component 5.
17 to 20, the portable electronic device 19 has a lock member 9 that restricts movement of the electrical component 3 in the attaching / detaching direction X. The lock member 9 is a hole 10 formed in the attachment / detachment direction X side of the opening of the recessed portion 7 in the front-side housing component 4 and the back-side housing component 5 and deep in the direction Y intersecting the attachment / detachment direction X. It is arrange | positioned so that it can protrude in the hole 10 which has thickness.
The hole 10 has a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape, and the longitudinal direction of the substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape faces the direction intersecting with the attaching / detaching direction X and the direction Y. On the two side surfaces of the hole 10 facing the attaching / detaching direction X, protrusions 10a protruding along the direction X are formed. The two protrusions 10a are located on an extension line in the protruding direction.
The lock member 9 has a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape corresponding to the shape of the hole 10. A recess 9a is formed at a position of the lock member 9 corresponding to the protrusion 10a. The protrusion 10 a is fitted in the recess 9 a, and the lock member 9 does not fall out of the hole 10.
Further, since the two protrusions 10a are located on the extension line in the protruding direction, the lock member 9 can rotate around the axis connecting the two protrusions 10a. When the lock member 9 rotates about the axis, the state in which the lock member 9 protrudes from the hole 10 and the state in which the lock member 9 is pushed into the hole 10 are switched.
When the lock member 9 protrudes from the hole 10, the lock member 9 is located in the direction from the recess 7 in the attaching / detaching direction X, and restricts the movement of the electric component 3 in the attaching / detaching direction X. When the lock member 9 is pushed into the hole 10, the lock member 9 is no longer positioned in the attachment / detachment direction X from the recess 7, and the electric component 3 can be moved in the attachment / detachment direction X. 21 and 22 are a perspective view and a cross-sectional view of the portable electronic device 19 in a state in which the lock member 9 is pushed into the hole 10.
As shown in FIGS. 15 and 17, the electrical component 3 includes a component-side terminal 11 on the outer peripheral surface, and the electronic device main body 2 includes a body-side terminal 12 inside the recessed portion 7. When the electrical component 3 is housed in the recess 7, the component-side terminal 11 comes into contact with the body-side terminal 12, and the electrical component 3 is electrically connected to the electronic device body 2.
Furthermore, as shown in FIGS. 15 to 18, the portable electronic device 19 includes a closing member 21 that closes the opening of the recess 7. The closing member 21 is detachably formed in the recess 7 and is disposed between the electrical component 3 and the lock member 9 in the recess 7. When the lock member 9 protrudes from the hole 10, the movement of the closing member 21 in the attaching / detaching direction X is restricted by the lock member 9.
In a state where movement of the closing member 21 in the attaching / detaching direction X by the lock member 9 is not restricted, the user of the portable electronic device 19 can remove the electrical component 3 and the closing member 21 from the housing 6. 23 and 24 are a perspective view and a cross-sectional view of the portable electronic device 19 in a state where the electrical component 3 and the closing member 21 are pulled out from the recess 7.
The structure of the closing member 21 will be described with reference to FIGS. FIG. 25 is a six-sided view of the closing member 21, and FIG. 26 is a perspective view of the electrical component 3, the component-side terminal 11, the body-side terminal 12, and the closing member 21 of the portable electronic device 19.
As shown in FIGS. 22 to 26, the packing 13 is disposed on the side surface of the outer surface of the closing member 21 that faces the direction intersecting with the attaching / detaching direction X. That is, in a state where the closing member 21 is disposed in the recessed portion 7, the packing 13 is pressed in a direction intersecting with the attaching / detaching direction X (the direction of the white arrow in FIG. 26), and the inner surface of the recessed portion 7 and the closing member 21 are Block the gap between.
The electrical component 3 is accommodated in a space formed by the recessed portion 7 and the closing member 21 and is electrically connected to the electronic device main body 2 in the space. Therefore, no liquid adheres to the electrical connection portion between the electrical component 3 and the electronic device main body 2, and the failure of the portable electronic device 19 can be suppressed.
Since the packing 13 is pressed in the direction crossing the attaching / detaching direction X, even if an impact in the attaching / detaching direction X is applied to the closing member 21, the force with which the closing member 21 presses the packing 13 does not change.
Even if the impact applied to the electrical component 3 and the closing member 21 is large enough to temporarily push and bend the lock member 9, the packing 13 is not in the recessed portion 7 as long as the closing member 21 does not come out of the recessed portion 7. The gap between the inner surface and the packing removal 19 is continuously closed. Therefore, the waterproof performance of the portable electronic device 19 is maintained.
Further, the closing member 21 is detachably formed in the recessed portion 7. That is, since the closing member 21 is independent from the housing 6 and the cover member 8, the position of the closing member 21 in the recessed portion 7 is not biased. Therefore, the closing member 21 presses the packing 13 evenly against the inner surface of the recessed portion 7, and the deterioration of the waterproof performance is suppressed.
Further, the cover member 8 is detachably formed on the housing 6. Therefore, the lock member 9 can restrict the movement of the closing member 21 in the attachment / detachment direction X without restricting the attachment / detachment of the cover member 8 to / from the housing 6. As a result, the cover member 8 can cover the closing member 21 disposed in the recess 7 and the lock member 9 in a state where the movement of the closing member 21 in the attaching / detaching direction X is restricted, and the portable electronic device 19. The appearance quality of is improved.
The closing member 21 may include a protruding portion 22 protruding from the recessed portion 7. A user of the portable electronic device 19 can easily pull out the closing member 21 from the recess 7 by pinching the protrusion 22.
Further, the packing 13 may be disposed not on the outer surface of the closing member 21 but on the inner surface of the recessed portion 7. That is, the packing 13 is disposed in a gap between the side surface of the closing member 21 facing in the direction intersecting with the attaching / detaching direction X and the inner side surface of the recessed portion 7 facing the side surface, and closes the gap. Good.
Subsequently, a waterproofing method for the recess 7 formed in the housing 6 will be described with reference to FIGS.
Waterproofing method includes a preparation step. The preparation step includes a closing member 21 detachably formed in the recess 7, a packing 13, a lock member 9 for restricting movement of the closing member 21, and a cover member 8 formed detachably on the housing 6. And a step of preparing
When various members are prepared, the side surface of the closing member 21 facing the direction intersecting the attaching / detaching direction X, the inner surface of the recessed portion 7 that faces the side surface when the closing member 21 is disposed in the recessed portion 7, The packing 13 is disposed at a position that closes the gap between them (arrangement step).
After the packing 13 is disposed at the above position, the closing member 21 is inserted into the recessed portion 7, and the opening of the recessed portion 7 is closed by the closing member 21 and the packing 13 (closing step). 21 is restricted from moving in the attachment / detachment direction X (regulation step). Thereafter, the cover member 8 is attached to the housing 6, so that the cover member 8 is disposed in the recess 7, and the lock member 9 is in a state in which movement of the closure member 21 in the attaching / detaching direction X is restricted. Is coated (coating step).
The electronic device main body 2 and the electrical component 3 may be accommodated in the housing 6 and the recessed portion 7 before closing the opening of the recessed portion 7 using the closing member 21, respectively.
(Second Embodiment)
Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. The same components as those shown in FIGS. 1 to 26 are denoted by the same reference numerals, and the description thereof is omitted.
FIG. 27 is a cross-sectional view of a portable electronic device having a waterproof structure according to this embodiment. 28 and 29 are a perspective view and a rear view of the portable electronic device of the present embodiment example with the cover member 8 removed. FIG. 30 is a perspective view of the portable electronic device according to the present embodiment in a state where the electrical component 3 is pulled out from the recess 7.
As shown in FIGS. 27 to 30, the portable electronic device 23 of the present embodiment does not have a member corresponding to the closing member 21 (see FIG. 15 and the like) in the first embodiment. The packing 13 is disposed in a region of the outer peripheral surface of the electrical component 3 that faces the inner surface of the recess 7. That is, in a state in which the electrical component 3 is inserted into the recessed portion 7, the packing 13 is pressed in a direction intersecting with the attaching / detaching direction X and closes the gap between the inner surface of the recessed portion 7 and the outer peripheral surface of the electrical component 3.
Since each part of the packing 13 is pressed in a direction crossing the attaching / detaching direction X, even if an impact in the attaching / detaching direction X is applied to the electrical component 3, the force with which the electrical component 3 presses the packing 13 does not change.
Even if the impact applied to the electrical component 3 is large enough to temporarily push and bend the lock member 9, the packing 13 as long as the portion of the electrical component 3 where the packing 13 is disposed does not come out of the recess 7. Keeps closing the gap between the inner surface of the recess 7 and the outer peripheral surface of the electrical component 3. Therefore, the waterproof performance of the portable electronic device 23 is maintained.
The electrical component 3 is detachably formed in the recess 7. That is, since the electrical component 3 is independent of the housing 6 and the cover member 8, the position of the electrical component 3 in the recess 7 is not biased. Therefore, the electrical component 3 presses the packing 13 evenly against the inner surface of the recessed portion 7, and a decrease in waterproof performance is suppressed.
Further, in the present embodiment example, since a member corresponding to the closing member 21 provided in the portable electronic device 19 according to the first embodiment example is not required, the number of components can be reduced and the electrical component 3 can be reduced. Can be made larger.
The electrical component 3 may include a protruding portion 24 protruding from the recessed portion 7 on the surface facing the attaching / detaching direction X. A user of the portable electronic device 19 can easily pull out the electrical component 3 from the recess 7 by pinching the protrusion 24.
Further, the packing 13 may be disposed not on the outer surface of the electrical component 3 but on the inner surface of the recess 7. That is, the packing 13 is disposed in a gap between the side surface of the electrical component 3 facing in the direction intersecting with the attaching / detaching direction X and the inner side surface of the recessed portion 7 facing the side surface, and the packing 13 may be closed. .
Subsequently, a waterproofing method for the recess 7 formed in the housing 6 will be described with reference to FIGS.
Waterproofing method includes a preparation step. The preparation step includes an electrical component 3 that is detachably formed in the recess 7, a packing 13, a lock member 9 that restricts movement of the electrical component 3, and a cover member 8 that is detachably formed on the housing 6. And a step of preparing
When various members are prepared, the side surface of the electrical component 3 facing in the direction crossing the attaching / detaching direction X, and the inner surface of the recessed portion 7 that faces the side surface when the electrical component 3 is disposed in the recessed portion 7 The packing 13 is disposed at a position that closes the gap between them (arrangement step).
After the packing 13 is disposed at the position, the electrical component 3 is inserted into the recess 7 and the opening of the recess 7 is closed by the electrical component 3 and the packing 13 (blocking step). 3 is restricted in the attachment / detachment direction X (regulation step). Thereafter, the cover member 8 is attached to the housing 6, so that the cover member 8 is disposed in the recessed portion 7, and the lock member 9 is in a state in which movement of the electrical component 3 in the attaching / detaching direction X is restricted. Is coated (coating step).
The electronic device main body 2 may be stored in the housing 6 before closing the opening of the recess 7 using the electrical component 3.
