The present invention concerns a brake drum comprising a cylindrical bowl, comprising a radial connecting part (11) surrounded by a axial circular band (12), a metal insert comprising a circular band (21) assembled by force on the outer surface of the axial circular band (12) of the bowl and a metal crown (30) overmoulded on the peripheral outer surface of the assembly formed by the metal insert (20) and the bowl. It also concerns a method for producing such a brake drum and a motor vehicle comprising at least one such brake drum.
