Abstract

La présente invention porte sur un trépan qui comprend une partie tête et une partie couplage pour le fixer à un dispositif de forage. La partie tête comprend au moins deux cavités à éléments rapportés qui peuvent contenir des éléments rapportés, avec des bords coupants qui s'étendent depuis un emplacement intérieur radialement décalé de l'axe de rotation du trépan par rapport à un bord coupant extérieur. Le bord coupant est formé par l'intersection d'une surface supérieure et d'une surface d'usure de la cavité à élément rapporté ou de l'élément rapporté. La surface supérieure est linéaire, mais peut être plane ou non plane.
