Abstract
The invention relates to a device for electrically charging an electrically powered motor vehicle, comprising a charging socket, a charging plug and a locking device for the charging plug which can be inserted into the charging socket arranged on an electrically powered vehicle and/or on a charging column. The locking device comprises at least one locking element, which can be powered mechanically or electromechanically, and a receptacle assigned to the charging plug, wherein, when the charging plug is inserted into the charging socket, the locking device can be received into the receptacle in order to lock the charging plug in the charging socket. According to the invention, a sensor for detecting the mechanical state of the locking device is assigned to the device.
