Abstract

The invention relates to lightweight permanent formwork formed by sheets of expanded polystyrene (1) which are incorporated into a cage pre-formed using electro-welded steel meshes (2) that are joined to one another using transverse steel elements (3) including holes which can receive the reinforcing steel bars, both vertical and horizontal, resulting from the structural calculation for the element. All of the aforementioned parts together form a housing having a shape and size matching the element to be constructed. The formwork is characterised in that the body is formed by two layers, namely: an external layer formed by meshes (2) of electro-welded corrugated steel bars, which stiffens the assembly; and, glued thereto, a layer formed by expanded polystyrene sheets (1) that seal the mould during the filling process.
