Abstract

The invention relates to a high-security appliance for providing a device that allows the attendance of users/workers to be recorded online, under tamper-proof conditions that provide a high level of protection, and to the method for recording the attendance of said users/workers. The appliance comprises a high-security cabinet (10) which protects the devices used for the attendance recording method, said devices including at least one biometric time clock (2), a digital camera (3), a thermal printer, rolls of printer paper, a telephone, wireless communication equipment and spare batteries. HIGH SECURITY DEVICE FOR AVAILABLE EQUIPMENT THAT ALLOWS THE ENROLLMENT OF USERS / WORKERS ONLINE, IN CONDITIONS OF VIOLABILITY AND HIGH PROTECTION, AND THE PROCEDURE TO CARRY OUT SUCH ENROLLMENT

The present invention is related to the field of registration and control of user assistance and more specifically relates to the procedure for enrolling users for registration and control of assistance, such as in offices, factories, students, etc. as well as the associated apparatus for the achievement of this procedure, which allows online and real-time enrollment, under high security conditions, preventing fraud or identity theft.

DESCRIPTION OF PRIOR ART

One of the recurring problems that occur in companies or factories, related to the registration and control of assistance of their workers, has to do with the bad practices of supplanting identities among the users so as not to appear as absent or not to be caught doing less hours than the assigned day.

One of the basic methods of busy registration is simply the inscription in an attendance book where each worker signs by hand and indicates the start and end time of their workday, but this method has demonstrated inefficiency in the registration and control given the ease with which any user can impersonate another, imitating his signature, added to the delay involved in carrying it out daily. Therefore, the use of this means of registration has virtually disappeared.

The technique has shown, over time, the development of solutions that have been trying to overcome the difficulties and inaccuracies covered by the basic method described above, so semi-automatic methods were implemented, which more than anything made the registration process more fluid, but they failed to overcome the problem of impersonation, such as the case of the use of a mechanical control clock that punches a cardboard card on a table where the hours are marked or the case of the machines that print the time of entry and exit on a card that each user must enter. An example of such solutions can be seen in US patent US3596277 dated 17.07.1971, which describes the operating circuit of an assistance control clock that operates only at a stipulated time and that prints the time on the card of the Username. Such methods have the additional disadvantage of having to have a cabinet for the arrangement of the cards in an orderly manner, having to depend on the use of the cards as such and the subsequent manual transfer of the information of each to establish assistance real of each user. Subsequent to these solutions, the technique incorporated the development of methods where the information obtained was easier to transfer, manage and use to prepare attendance records, adding computerized systems that digitally store the information, allowing to transfer said data to a computer, normally made through cables and having to connect and even move a computer to the control clock; systems are subsequently developed where the information is stored in digital data storage devices, which allow the information to be transferred to a central computer in a more comfortable, but not therefore secure way, since the transfer of a physical device often involves chances of damage of the same or manipulation of information by unauthorized personnel.

A clear example of these solutions is described in US4924451 of 08.08.1990 that discloses a method and apparatus where a terminal device reads a magnetic card, decodes it, identifies the user, adds the time contributed by a control clock and elaborates data such as product that is stored in a portable storage device. On the other hand, the cardboard cards were replaced by each user's personal identification plastic cards, whether they were electronically encoded, with magnetic strips or bar codes. Some of these systems even eliminated the use of cards and incorporated a keyboard where each user enters a numerical code that identifies him.

As for the means for transferring information, the problem of the use of devices was overcome once the devices were benefited by wireless connection or Internet connection technologies.

An example of this can be seen in patent US5459657 of 17.10.1995 and patent application US2009 / 0248551 of 01.10.2009, which describe assistance registration systems comprising the use of encrypted cards, a card reader and connection to a computer for the immediate transfer and storage of data.

Some of these systems incorporate special applications such as portability, which allow registering the geographical position of the user, as in the case of the system described in patent application US2002 / 0145559 of 10.10.2002, which describes a position control system and a user's time, through a GPS receiver and a data transmitter such as a cell phone; also noticeable in patent application US2002 / 0175211 of 28.11.2002, a system that in addition to the use of a GPS signal, uses a digital camera for user image registration.

All these systems of identification and registration of assistance suffer from means that prevent fraud or identity theft, since in most of them the cards and / or the numerical keys are transferable, so that when a user intends to falsify the time of entry or exit, as well as your assistance, such data is provided to a coworker who records them as present or at a time that is not the real one, with the simple fact of passing the card through the reader and / or by entering some verification code. In response to this problem, authentication systems were created that involve the entry of personal information of automatic, immediate and insuplantable verification, such as the means of biometric identification that incorporate user data such as fingerprints, anatomical points of the face, iris physiognomy. , and even others associated with the voice.

These systems require the presence on site of the user, ensuring their assistance; these biometric data are crossed with identification data such as numerical codes, magnetic identification cards, national identification number, etc. even giving an alarm when the user has not been authenticated. These systems are widely used not only for attendance registration, but also for access control to certain areas or to prevent or record the use of a computer or other device. A clear example of this type of solution is that which can be seen in patent application US2002 / 0030584 of 03/14/2002, which describes a device comprising a biometric fingerprint reader device, supported by a magnetic card reader, associated with a computer, which in operation captures the fingerprint, associates the data with a predisposed database and if it does not coincide with enabled users, it emits a rejection signal or, conversely, records the date and time of the event.

The disadvantage of this device is that it does not deliver a tangible receipt to the user, nor does it allow an extended and significantly autonomous period of operation; It also does not have an automatic data storage transfer system, but it has a removable memory that allows data to be transferred for its final process.

Something similar can be seen in patent application US2009 / 0127328 dated 05.21.2009, where a multipurpose biometric terminal, work administration system and payroll with its associated method are disclosed, where said terminal comprises a biometric fingerprint reader and a microprocessor that processes the data that send via internet to a computer center and issue a receipt.

The main disadvantage of this system is that it does not have means that allow a direct association between the fingerprint and an image of the user, nor does it present means of direct communication between the user and the central that manages the data.

Additionally, access control and assistance service systems have been developed that provide their services to different companies, so it is this system that manages the means of control, data capture and issuance of information as the final result that each company needs for salary management or attendance statistics and hours worked for each user.

These services that are external to the contracting company are responsible for arranging the equipment and its administration, while the company must periodically provide lists of authorized users for entry and / or assistance control.

All biometric access control and authentication systems require a pre-application process that includes the enrollment of users, and in the case of the aforementioned service systems that administer these bases, they must also perform this prior process, thereby It is possible to execute the authentication by relating the data given by the contracting party and its users.

The enrollment process is usually a process with a certain level of complexity that includes taking and registering the fingerprints of each of the users and associating it with their Ruth and other data such as an image of the face, for example or data such as schedules meet or access areas.

For these assistance control services companies, the enrollment process is highly expensive, since the volume of users to be controlled is very high, considering the number of companies it serves; On the one hand, the service company must put an assistant (person) present at each enrollment point to advise each user in this process, on the other hand, the data obtained are stored in external devices and subsequently transferred to the control center and additionally, there is the constant risk of attacks that damage the devices made by the same users who wish to avoid being controlled. Enrollment under these conditions generates large costs, so it is necessary to have a procedure and means that allow users to enroll under conditions of security, effectiveness and autonomy.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention addresses this problem by offering means for its solution, so it has as its main objective to allow the daily registration of assistance and carry out the process of enrollment of users online and in real time with immediate transfer of data and without staff On-site assistance.

Therefore, another objective of the present invention is to provide high security means for the equipment involved in the enrollment process, which directly allows said process to be done without an assistant, with a low probability of being intentionally or accidentally damaged.

Another objective is to provide an enrollment procedure whose collected data is sent directly to the control center at the time of enrollment, so that it is immediately notified of the success or failure of the process for rectification.

Still another objective of this invention is to provide a system capable of operating autonomously for at least 24 hours intermittently and 5 hours of permanent use, generating the conditions of continuity in the service under any condition.

The present invention comprises the procedure for real-time online and real-time enrollment, and the device that allows completion of the procedure, both enrollment and attendance record daily users.

The present invention comprises a high security device for arranging equipment that allows the enrollment of users / workers online, which has conditions of inviolability and high protection, and the procedure for carrying out said enrollment of users / workers.

Said device comprises a high security cabinet that protects the equipment that allows the enrollment procedure, where said equipment comprises at least one biometric control clock that has a keypad, viewfinder and fingerprint reader, a digital camera, a thermal printer that allows delivering a printed paper receipt with the events for each user, paper rolls for replacement that gives it an operating autonomy of at least 48 hours in conjunction with the battery pack that feeds said printer, a telephone device, wireless communication equipment that allows the online connection with the control center and spare batteries that give autonomy of 5 hours of permanent use to the control clock and 24 hours of intermittent use.

The cabinet comprises a single-piece main body, which favors the robustness of the device by increasing the structure of the body, preventing its deterioration or disassembly of the main parts, it has a folded bottom edge, which improves the structure and allows through the tab that generates, which is attached to its base; it comprises three vertical planes folded at right angles forming a "U" section, from a single die, where said three planes, consist of a rectangular rear wall with two major openwork ends that form rear openings of the body where it is accessed to perform maintenance, and two lateral walls also rectangular in shape with its beveled front upper vertex, where its vertical front edges are folded into the body; This folding of the front edges also allows the body to be structured in a safe and robust manner, giving said free ends a solidity that allows it to subsequently receive a door. A solution that further reinforces this aspect of protection is the provision of a protective panel over the control clock, covering the keyboard and leaving only the fingerprint reader and the viewfinder for communication with the user in sight; said viewfinder protective panel and control clock keypad, is removably disposed on the inclined upper face.

The inclined upper face has a curvature in the sense of its width at the upper end, which coincides with the curvature of the upper posterior vertices of the side walls. The cabinet also comprises a front face composed of a lower front panel that is also part of an inner central tray of the cabinet, where said lower panel is fixed to the front edges of the side panels, thereby generating a better structuring of the cabinet and decreasing the points of possible vandalism, having only one door, where said door is formed by a hinged upper front panel, said hinges being located inside the upper front panel, so that they are not exposed, thus avoiding damage and possible breakage of them to intervene internal teams.

The lower front panel that is also part of an inner central tray of the cabinet and that is part of the front wall of the cabinet, is formed by a single piece, laminar, rectangular in shape with vertical major sides and horizontal minor sides, being folded to its width, at right angles, in an upper sector according to a stepped fold, giving rise to the horizontal portion that is formed as a central tray inside the cabinet, while the distal end of said central tray also has a smaller angle bend straight, while the vertical major sides are folded at right angles in the direction of the horizontal portion.

The hinged upper front panel is the front door of the cabinet and is made up of a vertical rectangular panel comprising a front face, a back, minor sides and major sides, where all its sides are folded at a right angle to the back face, taking into one of the major sides and on the front face a protective plate of a lock that is joined in a solidary manner.

The protective plate of the lock consists of a metal strip that protrudes from the edge and covers the entire height of the upper panel, thereby achieving an inviolability of the lock, since it would not be possible to introduce tools through the slot between the door and cavity, and break said lock.

Said upper front panel comprises a central opening that communicates with the interior of the cabinet and has a container with rounded walls; is opening fulfills the function of dispensing the printed paper receipts that leave the printer and said container receives the piece of paper already cut preventing it from falling.

The cabinet comprises a base piece that is wider and longer than the base of the main body, it is a straight rectangular plate, with a front edge, a back edge and two sides, with rounded vertices and that has perforations in its four corners , through which the device is embedded in the ground.

Said rear edge of the plate does not protrude from the rear wall of the cabinet body, while the front edge and the side edges protrude beyond the front and side walls and the cabinet body.

The cabinet further comprises a plurality of interior trays in the form of horizontal flat plates having their lateral edges folded at right angles to join the side walls of the cabinet body. These trays allow you to hold and order the different components of the device, such as batteries, router and rolls of paper for printing.

The device comprises a removable waste container, located on the lower front panel of the body, said container having, on its rear wall, extended perforations that allow it to be mounted and disassembled from the device.

Optionally said device can have more than one biometric control clock, so that said inclined upper face can comprise two openings to accommodate said watches and at the same time, said protective panel comprises two openings.

Alternatively, said device can be smaller and dispense with the tray area, keeping only the upper area of the cabinet.

The procedure to carry out the online enrollment of users / workers carried out through the high security device that allows the enrollment and which has conditions of inviolability and high protection, which has been described above, comprises the steps of: a) the user opens communication with the remote control center through said telephone set that is arranged in one of the side panels of the high security device

b) the user verbally delivers to the operator at the remote control center, an identification data, such as his name, which must already be registered in said remote exchange in relation to an identification number such as the RUT

c) the remote control center verifies that the name and RUT indicated coincide with each other and that, therefore, the user is authorized to enroll,

d) in the event that the user is registered and their name coincides with the RUT indicated, the operator of the remote exchange verbally indicates, by telephone connection, that the user must place the ten fingerprints one by one, three times each one, through the biometric reader of the biometric control clock which is arranged on the inclined upper face of the high security device,

e) the remote control center and the enrollment terminal are connected wirelessly via the Internet, specifically through the router equipment that is housed in one of the trays inside the cabinet of the high security device, f) the Central automatically receives, online, each of the data referred to the fingerprints and stores them in relation to the user,
