Abstract
The invention relates to an induction heating device, in particular an induction hob device, comprising at least one heating frequency unit (20, 22, 24, 26), at least one induction heating unit (30, 32, 34, 36), which is intended to be operated by the heating frequency unit (20, 22, 24, 26), and at least one control unit (14). According to the invention, in order to achieve increased efficiency, the control unit (14) is intended to operate the heating frequency unit (20, 22, 24, 26) in a pulsed manner in at least one operating mode in which a heating power (Pmean) that can be delivered to the induction heating unit (30, 32, 34, 36) by the heating frequency unit (20, 22, 24, 26) in continuous operation is requested for the at least one induction heating unit (30, 32, 34, 36).
