In electronic devices such as mobile phones, PDAs (Personal Digital Assistants), tablet terminals, electronic dictionaries or electronic book readers, the battery is charged and information signals are exchanged by connecting plugs from the outside. In order to prevent foreign matters such as dust and water from entering the plug insertion portion into which the plug is inserted from the outside, a structure in which removable rubber packing is provided is common.
However, in such a structure, it is necessary to remove the packing from the plug insertion portion every time the battery is charged or each time an information signal is exchanged. The degree of adhesion with the plug insertion part may be weakened. In this case, there is a concern that foreign matter cannot be reliably prevented from entering the plug insertion portion.

The third side portion 43 extends from the position inserted into the electrode portion insertion hole 24 toward the second bottom wall portion 17.
The support base 46 is attached to the second bottom wall portion 17. The support base 46 has a triangular prism shape, and includes a side surface 47 that forms one side of the triangle, a side surface 48 that forms another side, and a top side 46 p that is disposed at a position where the side surface 47 and the side surface 48 intersect. The support base 46 is fixed to the second bottom wall portion 17 such that the side surface 47 is disposed to face the third side portion 43 and the side surface 48 is disposed to face the first side portion 45. The second side portion 44 is placed on the support base 46.
In the present embodiment, a leaf spring 41A and a leaf spring 41B are provided as the leaf spring 41. The leaf spring 41 </ b> A and the leaf spring 41 </ b> B are provided at symmetrical positions around the coil spring 37. Corresponding to each of the leaf spring 41 </ b> A and the leaf spring 41 </ b> B, the electrode portion insertion hole 24 is formed in the first side wall portion 22, and the support base 46 is provided on the second bottom wall portion 17.
Note that a plurality of leaf springs 41 are preferably provided. The plurality of leaf springs 41 are preferably arranged at equal intervals around the coil spring 37.
FIG. 5 is a diagram showing the mobile phone viewed from the direction indicated by the arrow V in FIG. 2 and 5, packing 31 has a shape corresponding to the opening shape of plug insertion portion 21, in this embodiment, a circular plan view. The packing 31 is provided so as to overlap the outer surface 13 on the outer periphery of the opening of the plug insertion portion 21 when the packing 31 is in the first position for closing the opening of the plug insertion portion 21. The packing 31 has a larger diameter than the opening of the plug insertion portion 21.
According to such a configuration, it is possible to suppress the occurrence of a gap between the packing 31 and the opening of the plug insertion portion 21, and to enhance the effect of preventing the foreign material from entering by the packing 31.
When the plug 72 is not inserted into the plug insertion part 21, the electrode part 42 is accommodated in the electrode part accommodation part 18 retracted from the plug insertion part 21. At this time, the distance from the second bottom wall portion 17 increases as the second side portion 44 of the leaf spring 41 comes into surface contact with the side surface 47 and approaches the first side portion 45 from the third side portion 43. It is inclined to.
Referring to FIG. 3, when battery of mobile phone 10 is charged, plug 72 of charging connector 70 is inserted into plug insertion portion 21.
When the packing 31 is pushed by the plug 72, the packing 31 moves from the first position where the opening of the plug insertion portion 21 is blocked toward the second position deeper than the electrode portion 42 when viewed from the opening of the plug insertion portion 21. Since the packing 31 has flexibility, the packing 31 enters the plug insertion portion 21 while being deformed despite having a larger diameter than the opening of the plug insertion portion 21. In the second position, the packing 31 is positioned between the electrode portion insertion hole 24 and the first bottom wall portion 23 in the insertion direction of the plug 72 with respect to the plug insertion portion 21.
In the present embodiment, the stem 33, the plate 35, and the leaf spring 41 connect the packing 31 and the electrode portion 42, and when the plug 72 is inserted into the plug insertion portion 21, the first position is changed to the second position. The moving packing 31 is provided as a moving mechanism that converts the movement of the packing 31 into movement that moves the electrode 42 from the electrode housing 18 toward the plug insertion portion 21.
That is, when the packing 31 moves from the first position to the second position, the movement is transmitted to the plate 35 via the stem 33. The plate 35 approaches the substrate electrode 39 while pushing and shrinking the coil spring 37. As the plate 35 moves, the first side 45 connected to the plate 35 approaches the side surface 48 of the support base 46, so that the second side 44 falls over the top side 46 p as a fulcrum, and the side surface 48 is placed. At this time, the third side portion 43 moves in a direction away from the side surface 47 of the support base 46, whereby the electrode portion 42 enters the plug insertion portion 21 through the electrode portion insertion hole 24.
The electrode part 42 comes into contact with the plug 72 by entering the plug insertion part 21 from the electrode part accommodating part 18. The electric power supplied from the plug 72 is transmitted to the substrate electrode 39 through the electrode portion 42, the leaf spring 41, the plate 35, and the coil spring 37 in order.
When the coil spring 37 is compressed, a force to push back the coil spring 37 from the second position to the first position is applied to the packing 31. When the plug 72 is pulled out from the plug insertion portion 21 after the battery charging is finished, the first position where the packing 31 is closed from the second position to the opening of the plug insertion portion 21 by the force acting on the packing 31 from the coil spring 37. Return to.
The mobile phone 10 according to the present embodiment is provided with a lock mechanism for holding the packing 31 in the second position against the elastic force of the coil spring 37 when the battery is charged.
More specifically, the main body case 12 has a fitting portion 15 into which the plug 72 inserted into the plug insertion portion 21 is fitted. The fitting portion 15 is provided at a corner portion between the outer surface 13 and the first side wall portion 22. On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 3, the plug 72 has a small diameter portion 73 and a large diameter portion 74 having a diameter larger than that of the small diameter portion 73. When the plug 72 is inserted into the plug insertion portion 21, the small diameter portion 73 comes into contact with the packing 31, and the large diameter portion 74 is fitted into the fitting portion 15.
With such a configuration, a frictional force larger than the force acting on the packing 31 from the coil spring 37 is generated between the large-diameter portion 74 and the fitting portion 15, and the packing 31 is held in the second position when the battery is charged. To do.
In the mobile phone 10 according to the present embodiment, the second position where the packing 31 is deeper than the electrode portion 42 from the first position where the packing 31 closes the opening of the plug insertion portion 21 with the insertion of the plug 72 into the plug insertion portion 21. Since it is pushed into the position, it is not necessary to remove the packing 31 every time the battery is charged. For this reason, progress of deterioration of packing 31 can be suppressed and the function as a sealing member of packing 31 can be maintained over a long period of time.
Further, in the present embodiment, the electrode part 42 is caused to enter the plug insertion part 21 from the electrode part accommodating part 18 in conjunction with the operation of inserting the plug 72 into the plug insertion part 21. This prevents the plug 72 and the electrode portion 42 from interfering when the plug 72 is inserted into the plug insertion portion 21, and allows the electrode portion 42 and the plug 72 to contact each other after the plug 72 is inserted. .
In the present embodiment, the main body case 12 is provided with a plug insertion portion 21A into which the plug 72A corresponding to the plus terminal is inserted and a plug insertion portion 21B into which the plug 72B corresponding to the minus terminal is inserted. It has been. According to such a configuration, even if water enters one of the plug insertion portion 21A and the plug insertion portion 21B, a short circuit does not occur.
When the above-described structure of the mobile phone 10 according to the first embodiment of the present invention will be described together, the mobile phone 10 as the electronic device according to the present embodiment has a concave plug into which the plug 72 is inserted. A main body case 12 as a housing having an insertion portion 21 and an outer surface 13 through which the plug insertion portion 21 opens, an electrode portion 42 provided so as to come into contact with a plug 72 inserted into the plug insertion portion 21, and plug insertion A packing 31 provided in the portion 21 and movable between a first position that closes the opening of the plug insertion portion 21 and a second position that is deeper than the electrode portion 42 when viewed from the opening of the plug insertion portion 21 is provided. . When the plug 72 is inserted into the plug insertion portion 21, the packing 31 is pushed by the plug 72 to move from the first position to the second position.
According to the mobile phone 10 according to the first embodiment of the present invention configured as described above, the function of the packing 31 as the seal member is maintained for a long period of time, so that dust, water, etc. Can be prevented from entering.
In this embodiment, a mobile phone is given as an example of an electronic device. However, the present invention is not limited to this, and the present invention is applied to an electronic device that performs charging or sending / receiving of an information signal by being connected to a plug. The Other examples of such an electronic device include a PDA, a tablet terminal, an electronic dictionary, or an electronic book reader.
(Embodiment 2)
In the present embodiment, various modifications of the mobile phone 10 described in the first embodiment will be described.
FIG. 6 is a cross-sectional view showing a first modification of the mobile phone. In the drawing, a cross-sectional shape of the mobile phone corresponding to a range surrounded by a two-dot chain line VI in FIG. 3 is shown. Referring to FIG. 6, in this modification, a spring 84 and a ball 85 are used as a lock mechanism for holding packing 31 in the second position during battery charging.
The main body case 12 is formed with a spring / ball receiving recess 83. The spring / ball accommodating recess 83 is formed so as to open in the inner wall of the plug insertion portion 21 into which the plug 72 is inserted. A spring 84 and a ball 85 are sequentially accommodated in the spring / ball accommodating recess 83. The plug 72 has a recess 81 facing the spring / ball receiving recess 83. When the plug 72 is inserted into the plug insertion portion 21, the ball 85 is fitted into the recess 81 and is pressed against the plug 72 by the elastic force of the spring 84. With such a configuration, the packing 31 can be held in the second position against the elastic force of the coil spring 37 during battery charging.
In addition, the lock mechanism for holding the packing 31 in the second position is not limited to the structure using the fitting and the spring / ball described above. For example, a magnetic force that attracts the second side portion 44 of the leaf spring 41 to the side surface 48 may be generated during battery charging by adding an electromagnet structure to the support base 46 shown in FIG.
FIG. 7 is a cross-sectional view showing a second modification of the mobile phone. In the drawing, a cross-sectional shape of the mobile phone corresponding to FIG. 4 in the first embodiment is shown.
Referring to FIG. 7, in this modification, one plug insertion portion 21 is provided in the main body case 12. A leaf spring 41A and a leaf spring 41B used for battery charging (plus and minus) and a leaf spring 41C used for transmitting an information signal (data) from the mobile phone to another device to the plug insertion portion 21. And a leaf spring 41D used for receiving information signals from other devices to the mobile phone. The leaf spring 41A, the leaf spring 41B, the leaf spring 41C and the leaf spring 41D are arranged at equal intervals around the coil spring 37.
In order to form an independent current path between the electrode portion 42 provided in each leaf spring of the leaf springs 41A to 41D and the substrate electrode 39, the plate 35 in FIG. Further, four coil springs 37 are provided so as to be in contact with the four divided bodies of the plate 35.
FIG. 8 is a cross-sectional view showing a third modification of the mobile phone. FIG. 8 is a diagram corresponding to FIG. 3 in the first embodiment. FIG. 9 is a perspective view showing a plug of a charging connector used in the mobile phone shown in FIG.
8 and 9, in this modification, a hook-shaped packing 91 is provided on the plug 72 of the charging connector 70 as a seal member. The bowl-shaped packing 91 is made of a flexible material such as silicon rubber. The hook-shaped packing 91 is provided so as to spread in a hook shape from the outer peripheral surface of the plug 72. The hook-shaped packing 91 has a shape corresponding to the opening shape of the plug insertion portion 21, that is, a circular plan view.
In a state where the plug 72 is inserted into the plug insertion portion 21, the bowl-shaped packing 91 is positioned so as to overlap the outer surface 13 on the outer periphery of the opening of the plug insertion portion 21. The hook-shaped packing 91 has a larger diameter than the opening of the plug insertion portion 21.
According to such a configuration, it is possible to suppress the occurrence of a gap between the plug insertion portion 21 and the plug 72 when the plug 72 is inserted into the plug insertion portion 21. Thereby, the penetration | invasion of the foreign material to the plug insertion part 21 can be prevented reliably.
According to the mobile phone according to the second embodiment of the present invention configured as described above, the effects described in the first embodiment can be obtained similarly.
