Description
A BATTERY SYSTEM
Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a battery system which enables battery blocks having plug-in connectors to be easily removed from the place that they are mounted by the help of a handle.
Background of the Invention
Nowadays, electrical connection of batteries with the device in which they will be used is provided in two ways, namely by means of a plug-in connector or via surface contact. Battery blocks having plug-in connectors are used by being fit into the corresponding connector on the device. In this case, the connectors on the side of the battery and the device are firmly engaged with each other. This way loss of contact during usage is avoided. However, difficulties are encountered when the battery block is intended to be displaced. In order to overcome this difficulty, a handle is placed on the rear surface of the battery block which will be held with a finger and will help to remove the battery block from the place that it is fitted. These handles work with the principle of rotation about a fixed axis.
The United States patent document no. US 1867632, one of the applications known in the art, discloses battery blocks which have a collapsible handle and thus have a low head height and occupy small place.
Chinese utility model document no. CN 201243044, another application known in the art, discloses a handle structure used for battery blocks. The said lifting handle rope is embedded into the hole provided in the battery block.
The Japanese patent document no. JP2000123806, another application known in the art, discloses an easily removable battery block. The grip on the said battery block is connected to the lower part of the block and can be embedded into the block by being turned downwards when desired.
Summary of the Invention
The objective of the present invention is to provide a battery system which comprises a push-pull handle thereon that enables the battery to be dislocated from the housing in which it is located.
A further objective of the present invention is to provide a battery system which comprises a handle used in battery blocks having plug-in connectors. Another objective of the present invention is to provide a battery system in which the battery handle is arranged so as to be embedded in the battery block.
Yet another objective of the present invention is to provide a battery system which facilitates easy mounting and displacement of the battery blocks.
Detailed Description of the Invention
A battery system developed to fulfill the objective of the present invention is illustrated in the accompanying figures, in which,
Figure 1 is the isometric view of the inventive battery system when the handle is in closed position.
Figure 2 is the isometric view of the inventive battery system when the handle is in open position.
Figure 3 is the sectional view of the inventive battery system when the handle is in closed position.
Figure 4 is the sectional view of the inventive battery system when the handle is in open position.
The components shown in the figures are each given reference numerals as follows:
1. A battery system
2. Battery block
3. Seat
4. Ramp
5. Handle
6. Slot
The battery system (1) of the present invention mainly comprises
- at least one battery block (2),
- at least one seat (3) provided on the upper surface of the battery block (2), at least one ramp (4) extending upwards from the seat (3),
- at least one handle (5) arranged into the seat (3),
- at least one slot (6) which enables horizontal movement of the handle (5).
The battery block (2) is in the form of a body accommodating the system parts thereon. The seat (3) is in the form of a recess which is located on the upper part of the battery block (2) and which enables the handle (5) to be hidden by being embedded into the block (2). The ramp (4) is in the form of an inclined surface which is adjacent with the seat (3) and which enables upwards movement of the handle (5) in the vertical direction. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, there are two ramps (4) each of which is positioned on either side of the seat (3). The handle (5) is in the form of a grip which is used for removing the battery block (2) from the place that it is mounted and for carrying the same. The slot (6) is in the form of a long groove into which the ends of the handle (5) are engaged and which enables horizontal movement and rotation of the handle (5) with
pushing and pulling movements. In the preferred embodiment of the invention, there are provided two slots (6) on the battery block (2).
In the battery system (1) of the present invention, there is a ramp (4) which is integrated or incorporated subsequently onto the battery block (2). On the battery block (2), a slot (6) structure is also provided into which the handle (5) can be mounted. The said slot (6) moves the handle (5) within the seat (3) provided on the upper surface of the battery block (2). When the handle (5) is in closed position, that is to say it is placed into the seat (3), it is totally adjoined on the seat (3) plane. When the said handle (5) is pulled by an external impact, movement is realized by means of the slot (6) over the ramp (4). Thanks to the fact that the ramp (4), which is comprised of an inclined surface, forms a space between the seat (3) and the handle (5), the handle (5) is displaced from the seat (3). Then, by means of the space between itself and the seat (3), the handle (5) is gripped with a finger, the ends of the handle (5) are rotated within the slot (6) and the handle (5) is enabled to be brought to vertical position. When it is brought to horizontal position and pushed backwards in the same way, it descends along the ramp (4) and is relocated into its place in the seat (3).
Within the framework of these basic concepts, it is possible to develop a wide variety of embodiments of the inventive battery system (1). The invention can not be limited to the examples described herein and it is essentially as defined in the claims.
