Abstract

The invention relates to a method for producing a security paper, wherein M) an endless microlens thread (12) having a top side (30) and an opposite underside (32) is provided, wherein the top side (30) is provided with microlenses (22) at least in partial regions, P) a paper web (50) is produced with a predetermined bridge pattern (18), which has bridge regions (16), in which the microlens thread (12) is embedded within the paper web (50), and which has window regions (14) situated between the bridge regions (16), in which window regions the microlens thread (12) emerges at the surface of the paper web (50) and e) the microlens thread (12) is introduced into the paper web (50) and in the process is connected to the paper web (50) on the underside (32) of said thread and, in the bridge regions (16), also on the top side (30) of said thread, wherein the paper web (50) together with the introduced microlens thread (12) forms the security paper.
