  • the Smart Cover manufactured by Apple, Inc. includes four stiff portions divided by three flexible folding portions, allowing the cover to be folded into a triangle to be used as a stand or rest for the tablet computer.

  • Accessory retention band 400 may be installed on cover 100 and positioned over said stiff portion, allowing cover 100 to still be folded while the band is in place.

  • inner surface 408 may comprise one or more bands 410.
  • a band 410 may comprise an elastic or stretchable material, such as spandex or other fabric, for securing an accessory within pouch 402.
  • a band 410 may be divided into one or more loops 412a-412b via stitching, glue, or other means. Loops 412a-412b may be used for securing items smaller than the width of band 410, such as a stylus or pen or other accessory.

Abstract
