Abstract
La présente invention concerne un dispositif portable pour mesurer une dépense calorique de l'activité physique d'une personne, ledit dispositif portable (10) comprenant : - un moyen de mesure de tour (12) pour mesurer des changements du tour d'une partie corporelle (16) de la personne (20) au cours du temps pour générer un signal de tour (18, 18'), ladite partie corporelle (16) faisant partie du corps de la personne qui varie en tour en raison de l'activité musculaire durant l'activité physique, et - un moyen de traitement (14) pour analyser le signal de tour (18, 18') pour déterminer une mesure pour la tension musculaire de ladite partie corporelle (16), pour déterminer un niveau de charge physique de l'activité physique de la personne en fonction de la mesure déterminée pour la tension musculaire, et pour calculer la dépense calorique de l'activité physique de la personne sur la base du niveau déterminé de charge physique de l'activité physique de la personne.
