Abstract
Es wird ein Motor mit einem Kolben (3) und einem Arbeitsraum (4, 5) beschrieben, über welchen der Kolben (3) beaufschlagbar ist, wobei zumindest ein in den Arbeitsraum (4, 5) mündender Versorgungskanal für ein gasförmiges Arbeitsmedium vorgesehen ist, in welchem Versorgungskanal oder Arbeitsraum (4, 5) zumindest eine lonisationsvorrichtung (10) zur Ionisierung des Arbeitsmediums und zur Erzeugung eines Plasmas aus dem im Arbeitsraum (4, 5) befindlichen Arbeitsmedium angeordnet ist. Um vorteilhafte Konstruktionsverhältnisse zu schaffen, wird vorgeschlagen, dass die lonisationsvorrichtung ein Gehäuse (17) aufweist, welches eine Elektrode (15) der lonisationsvorrichtung zumindest abschnittsweise umhüllt, wobei das Gehäuse (17) zumindest eine Ansaugöffnung und zumindest eine Auslassöffnung für das Arbeitsmedium aufweist.
