Abstract
The invention relates to a device that makes it possible to control the total reactive power consumed in a dwelling or premises with a contract for a low power electrical supply (generally less than 15 kW), using minimal space inside the premises; the device is essentially characterized in that the reactive power compensation device (20) is completely portable and can be plugged into any AC electrical power outlet (monophasic or triphasic) on the premises, such that as a function of the value of the reactive power available at a certain moment, the device can consequently act to compensate and reduce the value of the reactive power, therefore improving the power factor (cos φ).
