Abstract

영상의 엔트로피 부호화 방법 및 장치, 엔트로피 복호화 방법 및 장치가 개시된다. 본 발명의 엔트로피 부호화 방법은 현재 부호화 심볼보다 앞서 부호화된 이전 부호화 심볼들에 기초하여 결정된 소정 이진값의 확률을 이용하여, 현재 부호화 심볼의 이진값을 산술 부호화하고, 현재 부호화 심볼의 이진값에 따라서 소정 이진값의 확률을 복수 개의 스케일링 팩터를 이용하여 업데이트하는 단계를 포함한다.
