Abstract

The invention relates to a memory storage computer device comprising: a reduced-size casing (1); a microprocessor (3) associated with a client USB connector (2) and a mass storage memory (4); a wireless communication module (5) connected to the microprocessor; an actuation button or switch (7); and an electric battery (6) providing an autonomous power supply for the wireless communication module, the microprocessor and the memory once the device has been actuated. The device comprises a screen (8) and operating controls (9) connected to the microprocessor and at least one memory card reader (10) associated with the microprocessor.

DESCRIPTION

Computing device memory storage. OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a computer storage device memory, of the type comprising a housing of reduced dimensions a microprocessor associated with a USB connector customer and the mass storage memory for storing data, and enables the direct communication with a computer and wireless communication with an external device autonomously.

Scope of the invention.

This device is applicable in the computer industry, specifically in the field of mass data storage.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION.

The memory storage devices known as "memory sticks" or USB memories memory, have spread its ease of use, robustness, small size and large capacity on other computer media.

These devices are powered energy when connected to the USB port of a host computer by a USB port built for customer use.

However, there are a lot of portable devices, PDAs, mobile phones, portable media players and the like which do not have a USB host port to connect one of these computer memory storage devices to access stored data. This situation is a big problem when you want to share information or access stored data from these devices without using a conventional computer as a bridge between them.

The applicant of the present invention is not aware background solve satisfactorily the problem outlined.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The computer memory storage device, object of this invention has technical particularities intended to offer a higher connection capabilities and flexibility of use, enabling wireless communication with an external device independently.

The device is of the type comprising housed in a casing of small dimensions a microprocessor associated with a USB connector and a memory client mass storage.

According to the invention the device comprises a wireless communications module connected to the microprocessor, a switch or pushbutton, and an electric battery autonomous power supply. The drive device enables power to the wireless communications module, the microprocessor and memory from the electric battery to enable wireless communication with an external device access and memory.

Thus, the device can be connected via wireless communication with an external device completely independent and autonomous, suitable for bidirectional data transfer and location anywhere. The user only has to press the button or switch to activate or deactivate the wireless transfer during the time that communication will be necessary.

The wireless communications module is a Bluetooth module, although not rule out taking other types of wireless communications. Using Bluetooth module enables communication between two neighboring devices safely and comfortably. In a preferred embodiment the electric battery is rechargeable connected to the USB connector customer. Thus electric battery recharges automatically when the device is connected to a computer conventionally by the client USB connector, for example when handling the stored information. In another situation, the electrical device battery can be charged using a compatible charger to effect, which comprises a USB connector in which the device is plugged, and that supplies power from a power source connectable to the grid power supply, without need to use a computer.

In a preferred embodiment, the device comprises a screen and a control operation connected to the microprocessor. These means allow the user to select files and information to be transmitted or copied to the external device. In addition, through the screen you can check the correct operation of the device during transfers, the battery status and other functions.

In a wireless communication device of the invention with another device, the communication is protected with measures sureness, for example using a password that the user must enter, which prevents third parties may be involved in the communication so undue.

In another embodiment, the device comprises at least one memory card reader associated with the microprocessor. This reader allows the download of the contents of the memory card to the memory device to leave it free. Thus the device can act as cumulative mass storage backup of a memory card, for example a digital camera.

PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION

As can be seen in the figures, the device of the invention comprises a hosted electronic circuit within a housing (1) small-sized and equipped with a USB connector client (2) for connection to computer, the electronic circuit being formed by a microprocessor (3) associated with a memory (4) mass storage and to a wireless communications module (5), in this Bluetooth type case for data transmission memory (4) with an external device through said wireless communications module (5). The electronic circuit comprises a battery (6) feeding through the microprocessor (3) and a pushbutton (7) drive that enables or disables the electronic circuit and data transmission. The electric heater (6) is rechargeable and is connected to the USB connector client (2) for recharging when the device is connected to a computer directly, or a compatible charger.

In one embodiment, the device comprises a screen (8) and controls operation (9), in this case a button, connected to the microprocessor (3) to operate the device and select different work functions and files to transmit.

In another embodiment, the device comprises readers (10) of cards, these readers connected to the microprocessor (3) for transfers between the memory (4) and the card or the wireless communications module (5) being.

1 . - computing device memory storage, of the type comprising housed in a casing of small dimensions a microprocessor associated with a USB connector client and to a mass memory, characterized by comprising a wireless communications module connected to the microprocessor, switch or pushbutton, and an electric power battery autonomous wireless communications module, the microprocessor and memory device once operated.
2. - Device according to claim 1, wherein the wireless communications module is a Bluetooth module.
3. - Device according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the electric battery is rechargeable connected to connector
USB client.
4. - Device according to any of the preceding claims, comprising a screen and a control operation connected to the microprocessor.
