Description
Anchor for installation of windows or doors in buildings and method of installation of windows or doors in buildings
The object of the invention is the anchor for easy installation of windows or doors in buildings and method of installation of windows or doors in buildings with the use of such anchors.
Known anchors (handles) for installation of windows or doors are in the form of a flat bar, which at one end has a hook for connecting the frame of a window or door, and at the other end there are several holes for the fixing screws.
A known method of installation of windows or doors in buildings with these anchors, lies in the fact that each side of the window or door frame is fixed to the anchor with hooks, then the frame is inserted into hole in the building. The frame is set vertically and horizontally, using a variety of shims, wedges, struts, and fixing handles are fixed to the sides of the hole by screwing them to the wall with screws in holes in flat bars. Installation of a window or door is usually carried out by two employees - one sets the frame in the correct position, holding it in this position, and the second, after setting, drills holes in the wall and screws anchors to the wall. The next step is to inject foam sealant into the gap between the wall and a frame, and then to put plaster. Anchors are also covered with foam sealing and plaster.
According to the invention the anchor for installation of windows or doors in buildings, is characterized that the anchor has at one end elements for connecting the frame of a window or door, on the other end has the elements for fixing to the wall, and the anchor has a variable length, where the distance from one end of the anchor to the second is infinitely adjustable.
Preferably, the anchor is in the form of a screw with a nut, where the screw has a base with elements to fix with the frame of a window or door and the nut has a ground plate with elements for fixing to the wall, while the nut is screwed onto the bolt. At least the nut or at least the bolt has the outer surfaces for the key adjusting the thickness of the anchor. It is good when the base of a screw is connected to the screw pivotally and / or the ground plate of a nut is pivotally connected to the nut.
In another version, the anchor is in the form of a bolt with a nut, where the nut has an element for fixing in a window or door frame and the screw has the ground plate to fix to the wall, while the nut is screwed onto the bolt. Also in this case, it is good when the ground plate is connected with the screw pivotally and / or a nut is pivotally connected to the window or door frame, while the screw and/or the nut have the outer surfaces for the wrench adjusting the length of the anchor.
Method of installation of windows or doors in the buildings according to the invention lies in the fact that, at least on one side of the window or door frame is fixed at least one anchor with adjustable length, then the frame with the anchor is inserted into the hole in the building and it is set vertically and horizontally and jammed in the hole by changing the lengths of anchors.
Anchor for installation of windows or doors according to the invention is characterized by simple construction, low cost, and installation of windows or doors with anchors of the present invention is fast and simple, which will be described more closely in the following description, explaining an example of the anchor.
The example of the anchor of the present invention is shown in the drawings, in which Fig. 1 shows one version of the anchor in cross section, and Fig. 2 - a second version also in cross section.
As shown in Fig. 1 anchor is a bolt 1 with screwed onto it the nut 2. The screw I has a hook 3 at one end to fix anchor to the window frame 5, while the nut 2 has on its end the ground plate 4 to fix to the wall 6. The hook 3 is connected to the screw 1_ pivotally and also pivotally the. ground plate 4 is connected to the nut. The bolt I has surfaces 7 for a wrench and also the nut has surfaces 8 for a wrench. In other version, shown on Fig. 2 the anchor is a bolt V_ screwed to the nut 2\ In this version the nut _ has hooks 31, by which it is fixed in hole made in the window frame 5 , and a bolt V_ has a ground plate 41 to fix to the wall 6\ In this case only the bolt Y_ has surfaces 71 for a wrench
Anchors of the present invention are made of plastic, they are cheaper than the anchor made of flat metal bars and such anchor does not cause thermal bridges because its isolating properties are similar to foam sealant. During the sealing with the foam anchors are covered with it from every side, which completely eliminates the possibility of thermal bridges.
Operation of the anchor, and thus the method of installation of windows or doors in buildings is obvious and is carried out as follows: on the window frame 5, at least on one side of the
window (the number of anchors used and the number of frame sides on which the anchors are placed, depends mainly the width of the gap between the frame 5 (5 ) and the wall 6 (&), which was provided by the contractor and the designer of the building) are fixed anchors in such a way that hook 3 of a bolt I is jammed in the frame 5. Onto the bolt 1 is screw the nut 2 with the ground plate 4. First, manually the bolt is screwed in or out \ onto the nut 2, while adjusting the length of the anchor so that it is easy to insert the window into the hole in the wall 6. Then a window is set vertically and horizontally, and the frame 5 is jammed in the hole in the wall 6 by increasing the length of the anchor, which is achieved by turning the screwI or the nut 2 - surfaces 7 on the bolt \ are used in that case or surfaces 8 on the nut, which allow to use a wrench. The screw I is rotated both in the nut 2 and in the hook 3 fixing it to the frame 5. Similarly, the nut 2_rotates in a ground plate 4, by which the anchor pushes the side 6_of the window or door hole.
Using a second version of anchors of the present invention, the nut is fixed by the hook 3' in a: hole made in a frame 5^ and a screw V pushes on a wall 6' through the ground plate 4\, which is connected with the screw V pivotally.
Fixing the frame 5 in the wall 6 is done after increasing the thickness of anchors so that the frame 5_itself jams in the hole. Elements for fixing in the frame or in the wall are chosen according to the characteristics of the wall, its thickness, the thickness of the isolating layer, the setting of window to the wall, setting of the door in relation to the ground - here also in the case of larger gaps between the frame and the wall the ground plate 4 is in the form of a high block .
In many exemplary embodiments, it is virtually meaningless, which end of the anchor is facing the wall or frame, it depends exclusively on the type, shape of the element fixing to the frame / wall. Anchors successfully can also be used when installing window sills, stair steps. Sufficient for installing is one person who, after gaining experience, sets easily and jams windows in buildings.
During installation drills are not used, wrench is usually sufficient, it is unnecessary to use additional washers, wedges, stands, which improves safety on the construction site, because of a minimum limited number of items that may fall from the top on the staff working under windows, or passing under wall passers-by.
