Abstract

An open self-righting container (10) comprising a convex shell (15) with an outer truncated non-spherical Gomboc-like surface (14), an in¬ terior cavity (15), a rest surface (32) at a stable equilibrium point of the shell, and an opening (40) opposite the rest surface where the in¬ terior cavity may include a meltable fuel (50) fitted with a wick (52).
