A Demijohn Cover Technical Field
This invention is on demijohn covers used in covering demijohn tops which are used for transportation of fluids like water. Prior Art
In the usual technique the covers with a band are used for sealing the tops of demijohns and some bottles. These covers are made of plastic and its derivatives. The banded covers comprise a cover, a band and a pull tag part. The banded covers are produced in plastic injection machines using a single cover mould. The cover is in one piece with its cover band and a pull tag piece.
The band which is circularly wrapping the cover is just under the cover. The band holds the cover over the demijohn and keeps it stable. The band needs to be torn circularly to open the cover. For this reason there is a line on the band to ease and guide this detaching. The pull tag in the end of the band follows through the detaching line. The pull tag is a small piece hanging down below. When the pull tag is pulled by hand the band first gets detached until the cover and goes on getting detached along its bottom circularly. Having detached the band circularly, the cover becomes released and opens easily.
Demijohns are used repeatedly but demijohn covers are disposed after single use. The presence of the band and the pull tag is already a proof of the first time use of the cover.Because repeated use of the same cover is not hygenic.
As it is well known, plastic materials survive in nature for centuries without dissolving.Waste plastic materials do occupy a lot of space both in garbage and in water resources causing environmental pollution. Objective of Invention
The objective of the invention is to form a demijohn cover which prevents the disposal of these covers in nature as waste materials . Another objective is to produce a demijohn cover which can be used as a wristband.
Another objective is to produce a demijohn cover which has a promotional affect.

The invention asked to be registered is a demijohn cover which is composed of a clip (2), an area for visual prints (3), a cover (1), an adjustment hole(5), an adjustment line (6), a detaching line(8), a band(4) and a pull tag (7). The invention has a compact integral form produced out of plastic derivatives by means of plastic injection moulding system.
The cover(l) has an area for visual prints, watch screen, watch display, compass surface (3) on itself. On this part (3) various scripts, cartoon characters, pictures, logos and visuals can be pressed or stuck on.
On the sides of the circular cover (1) there are two clips (2) slightly raised and embossed.Right under the cover(l) is the band which thoroughly surrounds the cover(l)circularly. The band (4) has adjustment holes (5), adjustment line and a detaching line(8) on itself. The detaching line (8) guides the detaching action. The pull tag (7) which is just in the end of the band(4) follows through the detaching lines The pull tag is a short piece which extends down. The pul tag (7) is grabbed and the band (4) is pulled up along the detaching line (8) to open the cover (1). Next, the band (4) is detached circularly so that the cover (1) is seperated from the band (4) and becomes openable.
The band is shortened by cutting at adjustment lines (6) to fit to the user's wrist. By inserting the two clips (2) on the sides into the adjustment holes the wristband is formed. The detachable band(4) on which the cover sits ca have other utility pieces like a wrist watch, compass,toy...etc. sit on itself. Besides preventing environmental pollution this invention contributes to advertising and promotion sector and plastic products sector as well.
