Abstract

The invention relates to a motor vehicle door lock with a locking mechanism, a release lever (1) operating on the locking mechanism, at least one actuating lever (2), and with a securing element (6) which, with the interconnection of a transmission member (7, 8), interacts with the actuating lever (2) and, depending on the position of the securing element (6), brings the actuating lever (2) into engagement or out of engagement with the release lever (1), wherein the transmission member (7, 8) is designed in two parts, with a connecting lever (7) and a coupling lever (8) which is mounted on the actuating lever (2) so as to be rotatable about an axis (16), and, depending on the position of the securing element (6), the connecting lever (7) transfers the coupling lever (8) into the engagement position thereof with the release lever (1) or into the out of engagement position thereof with the release lever (1).
