Abstract

The invention relates to a manually-assembled prefabricated piñata formed by individual parts which are manually assembled to one another by means flanges and auxiliary attachments, such as snap-fasteners and/or ties, in order to be used as a toy, ornament or container for different types of items. In addition, the invention relates to the method for assembling said piñata.

Description

MANUFACTURABLE MANUFACTURED PREFABRICATED PIÑATA

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a Manually Assembled Prefabricated Pinata Manually formed of individual pieces, which are manually assembled with each other through tabs and auxiliary attachments, such as pressure buttons and / or cords, to be subsequently used as a toy, decorative item or container of various items. Also, the present invention relates to the method of assembling the Pinata of the present invention.

Piñata that aims to facilitate the access of this traditional festive element to a greater number of people, in addition to fostering opportunities, where both children and adults can create, learn, share and have fun through the didactic activity that this manually manufactured prefabricated piñata offers.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Piñatas are traditionally handmade products. The crafts as faithful ambassadors of the culture of a country or region, are exponents of the wealth, customs, traditions and folklore of each town.

Art and crafts tend to have a difference in relation to games, but in many cases this difference is not so clear; Piñatas, in addition to representing a typical handmade product of our Mexican traditions, is a element conducive to healthy fun and entertainment, especially for children at parties and celebrations.

Many of the games require mental or physical use and in most cases both are required; the games help to develop certain skills or abilities, which serve to perform a series of exercises that have an educational, psychological or simulation role; The games are considered as part of an experience and therefore learning.

A piñata can be and should offer not only a healthy recreation option, a product for children's parties or a typical traditional object, but also to be a skill developer, so, didactic systems of elaboration and use, grant qualities and advantages with respect to to traditional piñatas. It was found that US Patent 5,536, 194 of Larsen et al., Refers to a folding pinata, which has nothing to do with the present invention, since said pinata is constructed in a single module and its folding is a function of the folds of the material used; also the US Patent 5,824,378 of Armendáriz et al. was found, whose main characteristic is the fact that it is constructed in two modules and that its folding is based on the folds of the material used; In addition, it has the peculiarity that the design of said invention is of animals, where one part of the predetermined module consists of the body of the animal and the other corresponds to the head thereof. US Patent 3,983,658 of Sanz, refers to two half spheres of polystyrene foam or similar plastic, which together form the body of the piñata; the union of the two spherical halves is done by means of a suitable adhesive. Likewise, the publication of the International Patent Application WO 02/16002 of Anzaldua Orozco, refers to an armored, foldable and self-expanding pinata, this invention can be considered the closest prior art to the present invention, but said invention differs from the described here, due to the use of tensioned links that are used to maintain the volumetric shape of the piñata. US Patent No. 6,171, 166 B1 of Oquita, is based on a square container hung on a pole, which itself can be said to be a simple container bag with handles; Wong US Patent Application Publication 2008/0268740, consists of a collapsible device formed by an accordion-like mechanism and supported by internal frames. We also found the publication of US Patent Application 2009/0325454 of Cho et al., Which refers to an expandable multi-position pinata, which is actuated by a tensioning mechanism that is attached to each of the side panels; US Patent Application Publication 2005/0197036 by Won et al., consists of a piñata formed of two prefabricated mold pieces that are joined together; There is also the publication of US Patent Application 2003/0139276 of Lozano, which consists of a piñata that is assembled by joining the pieces with glue.

The piñata object of this invention clearly differs from those mentioned above by its manufacturing process based on prefabricated parts, which make it an extremely compact, lightweight and practical product, but also by provide the user with the possibility of assembling it himself; promoting healthy recreation, fun and coexistence among the participants and making this a didactic product in the broadest sense. Additionally, it can be considered as an advantage of the present invention over the above-mentioned inventions, as well as those of the traditional ones, the fact that the joining of the prefabricated parts is carried out by means of the fastening of tabs and pressure buttons, unlike the above-mentioned inventions and of traditional piñatas that only use eyelashes or glue, having as a consequence that the piñata does not have adequate support, and its handling is very insecure; In addition, when using glue you run the risk of dirtying and staining the area that is available, to assemble the piñata.

TECHNICAL PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED Based on the traditional method of making piñatas, the following problems arise. The container body is made:

1. Using clay pots, which can be dangerous, in addition to making it heavy and fragile at the same time.

2. Lining balloons inflated with paste and newspaper.

3. With cartons and recycled papers joined together with paste and newspaper.

In any of the three cases, the manufacturing processes are handmade, which requires many hours of work and drying, to obtain only a piñata, which results in a large product, which occupies a lot of space and is susceptible to Be damaged or broken easily. On the other hand, a traditional piñata is only acquired with specialized artisans; Due to the laborious and time-consuming manufacturing process, very few people are given the task of making a piñata with these characteristics.

The piñata, object of this invention, solves all these problems: it occupies very little space when presented in flat pieces, the materials are very safe and offers people the opportunity to make their own piñata in a clean, practical, fast and safe; In a few minutes and based on a very precise instruction, you get a very attractive piñata, accessible to a greater number of people, being able to get it anywhere thanks to the fact that it occupies a minimum space and does not require special storage specifications. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

In view of these figures it can be seen how the piñata is formed based on several prefabricated pieces, independent of each other, which can be made in different materials such as: soft, corrugated plastics, etc. The central body or container (fig. 14 and 14A) is composed of 4 pieces: a front part (fig. 2), a back part (fig. 3) and 2 equal bases corresponding to each of the parts mentioned above (fig. . 4).

Both the front and the back are made up of 12 triangular panels (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12). All these panels have in its widest part a series of tabs (13 and 14) formed in turn of a second series of tabs smaller than the previous ones arranged at each end (15, 15A and 15B), die cut (13A, 14A, 16, 17 and 17A) and folds, which when folded and assembled between them, and in turn with other parts, will form the central body or container (fig. 14 and 14A). It is important to mention that the die cuts have different shapes: perfect circles or holes (16), elongated grooves with angular endings (13A and 14A) and two unique special die cuttings (17 and 17A), which cover a specific function in the tabs corresponding to the panels 1 and 12 of the front of the central body or container (fig. 2).

To assemble both the front and the back of the central body or container, the triangular panels of each of the pieces must be folded up and down alternately (fig. 6 and fig. 7) and overlap the holes (6 ) of the tabs 14, corresponding to panels 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 on the holes (16) of the tabs 13, corresponding to panels 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11; subsequently both tabs (13 and 14) are fixed by inserting a pressure button (fig. 20) through the superimposed holes (fig. 8). This procedure should be performed in the same way on the 6 sides of the front (fig. 6) and on the 5 sides of the back (fig. 7) of the central body or container, to form diamond-like figures (fig. .9).

Subsequently, each of the bases is assembled (fig. 4), with the front and the back of the central body or container (fig. 10). The bases have a series of die cut divided into three types: grooves elongated rectangular (18), elongated grooves with angular endings (19) and perfect circles or holes (20). To assemble the front and rear parts with their corresponding base (fig. 10), the series of protruding tabs that have remained in each of the parts of the central body or container (15, 15A and 15B) must be introduced in the series of elongated rectangular grooves (18) of each of the bases (fig. 10), being inserted up to the tab 15B, just at the bottom of the diamond-shaped figures (fig. 9), which have constituted the front and back parts of the central body or container (fig. 11). The next step is to secure the front and rear parts of the central body or container to each of its bases (fig. 12), folding the series of tabs (15, 15A and 15B) and inserting the tabs 5 of each of the front and rear parts, in the series of elongated grooves with angular endings (19) of each of the bases, thus doing a padlock function (fig. 12).

Having assembled the two parts of the central body or container with their corresponding bases, they proceed to the union of both through their bases. The base of the front part must be joined with the base of the back part, making sure that the die-cut die cuts (20) of each of the bases coincide, thus being superimposed (fig. 13); it is important to be careful that triangular panels 1 and 12 of both the front and the back of the central body or container, coincide when joining (fig. 14 and fig. 14A). To be able to hold both bases, press buttons (fig. 20) must be used again, inserting them through each of the circular punches (20) located on the outer edges (31) of both joining bases. Perform the same procedure on all 6 sides of the hexagonal joining shapes (fig. 13).

Once this is done, a hole can be perfectly located on the upper side of the back of the central body or container (fig. 14), through which the rope must be introduced (fig. 22), pass it under the edges inside the joining bases (30) and then remove it from the front side of the central body or container (fig. 14A), through the hole formed by the special die cuttings for this function (17 and 17A). The next step is to make a knot (32) on the outer edge of the joining bases (31).

There are 6 other pieces, equal to each other, called cones (fig. 5); These cones have 5 panels (21, 22, 23, 24 and 25). The panel 21 has an elongated flange on the outer side (27) and the panel 25 has an elongated groove with angular endings (26), also located laterally, between the panels 24 and 25. Each of the panels in turn, they have a flange at the bottom (28), except panel 25. You can also see three die cuts (29, 29A and 29B) distributed every two panels: the first is located between panels 24 and 25 (29), the second between panels 22 and 23 (29A) and the last one in panel 21 (29B).

To assemble each cone, all panels (21, 22, 23, 24 and 25) must be folded and the elongated flange (27) inserted into the groove of panel 25 (26) (fig. 15), obtaining a pyramidal piece of 4 sides (fig. 16 and fig. 16A). Repeat this same procedure for the remaining 5 cones. Each of the 6 cones will be attached independently to the central body or container, introducing the lower tabs of each cone (28), into the grooves (13A and 14A) present in all tabs 13 and 14 of the front and rear of the central body or container (fig. 17). For proper placement, the die cuttings also present in the cones should be considered. (29A and 29B), since these must coincide with the outer edge of the joining bases (31), allowing the cones to be perfectly assembled with the central body or container (fig. 17). Repeat this same procedure for the remaining 5 cones and 5 sides of the central body or container (fig. 18).

It should be remembered that in the upper part of the back side of the central body or container there was a gap, due to the lack of tabs (13 and 14), so there will be a cone that can only be attached to the central body or container through 2 of its 4 lower tabs (28) (fig. 18). To be able to secure this cone more firmly to the central body or container, the rope (22) that has been previously adjusted in the joining bases (32) must be passed inside the cone to exit through the narrow end thereof (33). Subsequently, the circular piece (fig. 21) is placed with double elongated hole (35) through which both ends of the rope must be introduced, to end again in a knot (34); In this step, it is necessary to try to press downwards, so that the circular piece (fig. 21) together with the knot (34), manages to perfectly adjust the cone to the central body or container of the piñata (fig. 18) . At the end, the piñata is decorated by placing tufts of colored paper (fig. 23) at the narrow ends of each of the cones (fig. 19). These tufts can be placed with any adhesive tape. There is a second mode of assembly of the front and back of the central body or container. It had been previously described that both parts had die cuts in different shapes: perfect circles or holes (16), elongated grooves with angular endings (13A and 14A) and two unique special die cuts (17 and 17A), which cover a specific function in the tabs of panels 1 and 12 of the front of the central body or container (fig. 2). For this second mode of assembly, the perfect circles or holes (16) are replaced by tabs (fig. 24 and fig. 25), these being of two different types: the first elongated with angular endings (16 of fig. 24 and fig. 25) and the second irregular triangular shape (16A of fig. 24 and fig. 25), which has an elongated groove with angular endings (16B of fig. 24 and fig. 25).

To assemble, the tabs must be inserted in an elongated way with angular endings (16 of fig. 24 and fig. 25) corresponding to panels 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11 within the elongated grooves of angular endings ( 16B of Fig. 24 and Fig. 25) present in the irregular triangular tabs (16A of Fig. 24 and Fig. 25), corresponding to panels 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12; (fig. 26). This procedure should be performed in the same way on all 6 sides of the part. front (fig. 26) and on the 5 sides of the back (fig. 27) of the central body or container, to form diamond-like figures (fig. 28).

It had also been described above, that having the two parts of the central body or container assembled with their corresponding bases, they were joined through their bases. The base of the front part must be joined with the base of the back part, making sure that the die-cut die cuts (20) of each of the bases coincide, thus being superimposed (fig. 13). In order to secure both bases in this second mode, the pressure buttons (fig. 20) must be replaced by pressure cords (fig. 29).

Each connecting cord (fig. 29) must pass through both holes in the shape of a circle (20) on each side of the hexagonal shape, finally making a knot (36), so that both parts - front and back - of the body are secured Central or container.

In addition to the features described above, this piñata offers the following advantages:

A) It is a piñata produced mainly from prefabricated parts, which can be easily assembled with the help of auxiliary attachments such as pressure buttons (made of lightweight materials) or cords and tabs, which do not cause any risk or damage at the time of being armed or during use B) It is a piñata that occupies very little storage space thanks to its design in pieces, to be assembled later, so that its packaging is compact and practical. C) It is a piñata that is assembled easily and in a short time, thanks to the fact that it has a graphic instruction that explains the assembly mechanism step by step.

D) It is a piñata made with safe materials, both in its manufacturing process and for its assembly mechanism, guaranteeing healthy fun; It does not require sharp or sharp elements in any of its processes, which may jeopardize the physical integrity of any person.

E) It is a piñata that, due to its characteristics, is manufactured in series with few or almost no labor requirements, which increases the supply capacity and accessibility to a greater number of people.

F) It is a novel and didactic piñata, since having to put it together, it provides moments of healthy entertainment before and during the breaking of it. G) It is a piñata that can be made from recycled materials, as well as using biodegradable materials, favoring the care of the planet.

H) It is a piñata that can be designed based on 6 peaks; although more or less number of peaks can also be used but always in even numbers, maintaining the same elaboration and assembly scheme. Likewise, it is worth mentioning that the present invention has a set of elements (kit), which comprises: a) A manually assembled prefabricated piñata as described above in all modalities and b) Instructions for assembling said manually assembled prefabricated piñata as described above.

Claims

1. - Manually assembled prefabricated piñata characterized in that it comprises: -A central body or container (fig. 14 and 14A) consisting of a front part (fig. 2), a rear part (fig. 3); each of these parts with their corresponding bases (fig. 4);

-Each of these front and rear parts are made up of 12 triangular panels (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 1 1 and 12); each of these panels having in their broadest part eyelashes (13 and 14) and these eyelashes containing at the same time smaller eyelashes at each of their ends (15, 15A and 15B), folds and die cuts (13A, 14A, 16 , 17 and 17A);

- Each of the hexagonal bases, have a series of die cuts (18, 19 and 20);

- Cones (fig. 5), characterized in that they comprise five panels (21, 22, 23, 24 and 25), tabs (27 and 28), folds and die cuts (26, 29, 29A and 29B);

-Pressure buttons (fig. 20);

-A holding rope (fig. 22);

-A circular piece with double elongated hole (fig. 21); Y

-Medones of colored paper (fig. 23).

2. - The manually assembled prefabricated piñata according to claim 1, characterized in that the punches contained in the front and rear parts of the central body or container are perfect circles or holes (16), elongated grooves with angular terminations (13A and 14A) and a couple of special die cuts (17 and 17A), which cover a specific function in the tabs of panels 1 and 12 of the front part of the central body or container (fig. 2).

3. The manually assembled prefabricated piñata in accordance with claim 1, characterized in that the tabs contained in the wider ends of the front and rear parts of the central body or container are irregularly triangular (13 and 14), conformed to turn of a second series of tabs smaller than the previous ones, arranged at each end (15A and 15B) and rectangular with angular endings (15).

4. - The manually assembled prefabricated piñata, according to claim 1, characterized in that the bases (fig. 4) have a series of die cuts divided into three types: elongated rectangular grooves (18), elongated grooves with angular terminations (19) and perfect circles or holes (20); said base, hexagonal in shape, presenting a hollow to the center in the same way, leaving an internal edge (30) and an external edge (31).

5. - The manually assembled prefabricated piñata according to claim 1, characterized in that the cones (fig. 5) have an elongated flange on the side panel (27) and the panel 25 an elongated groove with angular terminations ( 26), also located laterally, between panels 24 and 25. Each one of said panels in turn has a flange at the bottom (28), except panel 25. Three die cuts (29, 29A and 29B) distributed every two panels: the first one is located between the panels 24 and 25 (29), the second between panels 22 and 23 (29A) and the last in panel 21 (29B).

6.- Manually assembled prefabricated piñata in accordance with claim 1, characterized in that it comprises auxiliary assembling attachments and decorated as pressure buttons (fig. 20), holding rope (fig. 22), 1 circular piece with double elongated hole ( fig. 21) and colored paper tufts (fig. 23) 7.- Manually assembled prefabricated piñata characterized in that it comprises: -A central body or container (fig. 14 and fig. 14A) consisting of a front part (fig. 24 ), a back (fig. 25); each of these parts with their corresponding bases (fig. 4);

-Each of these front and rear parts are made up of 12 triangular panels (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,

7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12); each of these panels having in its broadest part eyelashes (13 and 14) and these eyelashes containing at the same time smaller eyelashes at each of its ends (15, 15A, 15B, 16 and 16A), folds and die cuts (13A , 14A, 16B, 17 and 17A);

- Each of the hexagonal bases, have a series of die cuts (18, 19 and 20);

8. 10. - The manually assembled prefabricated piñata in accordance with claim 7, characterized in that it comprises auxiliary assembling attachments and decorated as joining cords (fig. 29), holding rope (fig. 22), 1 circular piece with double elongated hole (fig. 21) and tufts of colored paper (fig. 23).

11. - A method for assembling a manually assembled prefabricated piñata comprising the steps of: a) first fold the triangular panels of the front and back of the central body or container up and down alternately (fig. 6 and fig. 7);

b) superimpose the holes (16) of the tabs 14, corresponding to the panels 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 over the holes (16) of the tabs 13, corresponding to the panels 1, 3, 5, 7 , 9 and 11;

c) fix both tabs (13 and 14) by inserting a pressure button (fig. 20) through the superimposed holes (fig. 8);

d) repeat the previous step on the remaining 5 sides of the front (fig. 6) and on the 5 sides of the back (fig. 7) of the central body or container, to form a diamond-like figure (fig. .9).

e) join each of the bases (fig. 4) with the front and rear parts of the central body or container (fig. 10), introducing the series of protruding tabs (15, 15A and 15B) of each of the parts in diamond shape (fig. 9) in the series of rectangular elongated grooves (18) of each of the bases (fig. 10), up to tab 15B, just at the bottom of the diamond-shaped figures (fig. eleven);

f) secure the front and rear parts of the central body or container to each of its bases (fig. 12), folding the series of tabs (15, 15A and 15B) and inserting the tabs 15 of each of the front parts and later in the series of elongated grooves with angular endings (19) of each of the bases, thus doing a padlock function (fig. 12); g) to join the base of the front part with the base of the back part, making sure that the die-cut die cuts (20) of each of the bases coincide, thus being superimposed (fig. 13);

k) make a knot (32) on the outer edge of the joining bases (31);

I) assemble each cone (fig. 15), folding all the panels (21, 22, 23, 24 and 25) and insert the elongated flange (27) into the groove of panel 25 (26), obtaining a pyramidal piece of 4 sides (fig. 16 and fig. 16A);

m) perform the previous step for the remaining 5 cones; n) insert the lower tabs of each cone (28) into the grooves (13A and 14A) present in all tabs 13 and 14 of the front and rear of the central body or container (fig. 17);

o) perform the previous step to attach each cone independently to the central body or container (fig. 8).

p) secure the upper cone that has been attached to the central body or container, only through 2 of its 4 lower tabs (28), in panels 1 and 12 of the front part of the central body or container, passing the rope ( 22) inside the cone, to remove it from the narrow end thereof (33);
