Abstract
The invention relates to a needle guard comprising an open end including a truncated pyramid-shaped funnel (Fig 1-a) having a notched edge ( Fig 1-b) intended to serve as a lateral blocking and supporting point for the needle. The funnel is opaque and coloured yellow or orange (standardised safety colours) (Fig 1-c). The closed end of the transparent rod or shank acting as a housing for the needle (Fig 1-d) includes an ovoid flared portion (Fig 1-e), intended to serve as a handle and to provide a large gripping surface.
