Abstract
A method for determining the state of an electric motor (2) is suggested, wherein in a first step (14) a preliminary state of said electric motor (2) is determined, characterised in that it is determined (25), whether a refined determination (31, 38, 41) of the state of said electric motor (2) has to be made.
