Abstract

Mit der Erfindung ist es möglich, gegenüber den heutigen Raumschiffen eine viel höhere Geschwindigkeit zu erreichen. Die erreichbare Geschwindigkeit ist knapp unterhalb der des Lichtes oder, falls die Relativitätstheorie von Einstein unrichtig ist, mehrfache Lichtgeschwindigkeit. Die Erfindung besteht im Wesentlichen aus einer druck- und temperaturbeständigen Brennkammer (1.1), in der eine Atombombenexplosion (2.1) erfolgt und die dabei entstehende Energie zum Vortrieb eines Raumflugkörpers genutzt wird. Das Anwendungsgebiet umfasst bemannte oder unbemannte Raumschiffe, die große Entfernungen zurücklegen müssen. Ein kleineres Raumschiff mit Nuklear-Explosions-Antrieb ist für den Einsatz im Sonnensystem geeignet, ein größeres für die Entfernungen zwischen den Sternen.
