Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé, un appareil et des signaux servant à générer une représentation informatique d'une enveloppe balayée tridimensionnelle d'un véhicule ayant un châssis à roues servant à supporter un corps de véhicule pour un mouvement le long d'un terrain. Le procédé consiste à recevoir des données de terrain représentant un terrain en 3D, à recevoir des données définissant les paramètres du véhicule, et à recevoir des données définissant un trajet pour le mouvement du véhicule d'une position initiale sur le terrain à une position déplacée sur le terrain. Le procédé consiste aussi à disposer une représentation informatique du véhicule sur la représentation en 3D du terrain à des emplacements successifs le long du trajet à l'aide des paramètres. La disposition consiste à déterminer les points de prise entre les roues du châssis à roues et la représentation en 3D du terrain pour disposer le châssis par rapport au terrain, et à déterminer un emplacement 3D correspondant du corps du véhicule par rapport au terrain. Le procédé consiste en outre à générer une pluralité d'extensions spatiales du véhicule aux emplacements successifs, les extensions spatiales définissant l'enveloppe balayée 3D du véhicule lorsqu'il se déplace entre la position initiale et la position déplacée. Dans un autre aspect, l'invention concerne un procédé servant à générer une représentation informatique d'une enveloppe balayée tridimensionnelle d'un objet se déplaçant le long d'un chemin de guidage par rapport à la représentation en 3D d'un terrain.
