Abstract
La présente invention concerne un appareil à écran tactile pour personnes malvoyantes, et un procédé pour entrer des caractères dans l'appareil. L'appareil à écran tactile de la présente invention comprend : un écran tactile ; une unité de détection de contact qui détermine la position touchée et la durée de contact lorsqu'un contact est détecté sur l'écran tactile ; une unité d'initialisation d'entrée en Braille qui détermine, si des contacts par trois pointeurs de contact sont détectés par une unité de détection de contact, si, oui ou non, des valeurs de coordonnées correspondant aux positions de contact tombent dans une plage effective prédéterminée, établit des régions de contact pour chaque pointeur de contact si les valeurs de coordonnées tombent dans la plage effective, et effectue une initialisation pour une entrée en Braille ; une unité de reconnaissance de Braille qui, si de multiples contacts sont détectés lorsque l'initialisation d'une entrée en Braille est effectuée, reconnaît le Braille sur la base des positions de contact et de la durée de contact desdits multiples contacts ; une unité de traduction de Braille inverse qui interprète le Braille reconnu par l'unité de reconnaissance de Braille en tant que caractères sur la base d'une table de Braille mémorisée au préalable, et sort le Braille interprété sur l'écran tactile ; et une unité de traitement de synthèse vocale qui convertit les caractères interprétés en données de parole en utilisant un moteur texte vers parole (TTS), et délivre les données de parole. Selon la présente invention, une personne malvoyante peut facilement entrer des caractères dans un appareil à écran tactile adoptant un système totalement tactile en utilisant un procédé d'entrée selon un système Braille approprié pour les caractéristiques de la personne malvoyante.
