(1)濃度測定部21におけるセンサ21aは、マスク1の外側の空気40と接触する状態、より好ましくはそのような状態であって、かつ呼気の影響を受けることのない状態にセットされる。
(2)センサ21aに特別の規定はなく、定電位電解式センサ、PIDセンサ、接触燃焼式センサ、オルガスタ式センサ等、種々の方式のセンサを使用することができる。PIDセンサを使用したMini RAE3000(RAE社製)は、濃度測定部21として使用することができる具体例の一つである。
(1)流量測定部22におけるセンサ22aには、流量計が使用される。その流量計に特別の規定はなく、しぼり流量計(ベンチュリ計)、差圧式流量計(オリフィス流量計)、熱線式流量計、超音波流量計、羽根車式流量計等、種々の方式の流量計を使用することができる。また、流量計に代えて流速計と流路の面積とから流量を求めることも可能である。流速計には、熱線流速計、電磁流速計、プロペラ式流速計、超音波型流速計等、種々の方式の流速計を使用することができる。
(2)センサ22aは、図2に例示の位置にセットされることが好ましい。ただし、その位置は、ろ過部3においての通気量を実質的に測定できる適宜の位置に代えることが可能である。
(3)マスク1が吸気を供給するために電動ファンを使用するものである場合には、センサ22aの使用に代えて、電動ファンの電流値や消費電力、ファンモーターの回転数などから流量を求めることもできる。
(4)また、吸気用逆止弁11aや排気用逆止弁12aの開度を近接センサ等で検出し、その検出結果に基づいて流量を算出することによって、センサ22aの使用に代えることもできる。
(5)さらにはまた、ダイアフラム等の圧力応答部材を面体2に取り付けて、応答部材の動きを近接センサ等で検出し、その検出結果に基づいて流量を算出することによって、センサ22aの使用に代えることもできる。
(6)面体内の圧力変化を圧力計によって測定し、その測定結果を基づいて流量を算出することによって、センサ22aの使用に代えることもできる。
(1)温度測定部23におけるセンサ23aは、マスク1の外側の空気40に接触する状態にあって、ろ過部3の付近ではあるが、ろ過部3に向かう空気40の流れの影響および排気孔12からの排気の流れの影響を受けない位置にセットされることが好ましい。ただし、センサ23aが気流の影響を受けない性質のものである場合には、ろ過部3の付近にセットすることもできる。
(2)センサ23aに特別の規定はなく、例えば半導体式温度センサ、バンドギャップ式温度センサ、熱電対、抵抗温度計(側温抵抗体、サーミスタ)等、種々の方式の温度計を使用することができる。
(1)湿度測定部24におけるセンサ24aは、空気40に接触する状態にあって、センサ23aと同じように空気40の流れや排気の流れの影響を受けない位置にセットされることが好ましい。ただし、センサ24aが気流の影響を受けない性質のものである場合には、ろ過部3の付近にセットすることもできる。
(2)センサ24aに特別の規定はなく、例えば、電気式湿度計(静電容量式相対湿度センサ、高分子電気抵抗式湿度計、セラミックス式電気抵抗湿度計等)、伸縮式湿度計(毛髪湿度計)、乾湿計等、種々の方式の湿度計を使用することができる。
(3)SENSIRION社製SHT75は、センサ23aとセンサ24aとを兼ねた温湿度測定器として使用することができるものの一例である。
(1)演算処理部25は、図示例の如く各測定部21~24から有線で測定結果またはそれに代わる信号が送られて来る場合には、マスク1の着用者の腰部や胸部に取付けられていることが好ましい。図示例とは異なり、各測定部21~24から無線で測定結果や信号が送られて来る場合には、演算処理部25をコードレス化した状態でマスク着用者が携帯して使用することができるばかりでなく、マスク着用者から離間している集中管理室等の室内に置いて、着用者以外の者が各測定部からの測定結果や演算処理結果を知ることもできる。
(2)演算処理部25は、それに対して直接的に、または演算処理部25とは別体の外部機器から間接的にデータを入力可能なもので、例えば各測定部21~24から受信した測定結果や信号を入力して、空気40に含まれる特定の有害ガスについてのろ過部3における破過濃度の設定、破過時間予測式等の算出式のプログラミング、プログラムされた破過時間予測式に基づく予測破過時間の計算、単位時間当たりのろ過部3の消耗度合の計算、その消耗度合の積算から導かれるろ過部3の破過時間に至るまでの残存使用可能時間の計算等を実行する機能を有する。演算処理部25はまた、ろ過部3の破過時間に至るまでの残存使用可能時間が僅少になること等によって、マスク着用者やその着用者に対する管理者に注意を促す必要が生じたときに、警報器26aを作動させることや、演算処理部25における各種の演算の結果や測定部21~24の測定結果等をディスプレイ27aに表示することが可能である。また、演算処理部25は、特定の有害ガス以外の有害ガスの名称や特定の有害ガスに対応した相対破過比を入力すると、特定の有害ガスについての破過時間予測式等の算出式にその入力した内容を取り込むことができる。この発明でいう相対破過比とは、破過時間予測式がプログラミングしてある特定の有害ガスを基準ガスとし、基準ガス以外の任意の有害ガスを含む空気で測定した破過時間をその任意の有害ガスと同濃度の基準ガスを含む空気で測定した破過時間で除した値のことをいう。その基準ガスには、シクロヘキサンやトルエン等の一般的によく知られている有害ガスを選ぶことができる。相対破過比は、下記の式1で表すことができる。

a.濃度Co=300ppm、流量Q=30L/minであるときのろ過部3の下流側における有害ガス(シクロヘキサン)の濃度は、観察時間の経過とともに増加した。増加する様子は、図8のとおりであって、図8における1%破過時間は100.3分であった。

(2)任意の値の破過濃度と流量Qについて
a.上流側における濃度Coを一定にして、ろ過部3に対する流量Qを変化させ、ろ過部3の破過とみなす下流側の有害ガスの濃度を濃度Coに対する任意の値(%)に設定して、例えば0.5,1,3,5,10%に設定して、その任意の値(%)における破過時間(%破過時間)を測定した。一例として、濃度Coを100ppmに固定して、流量Qはその水準を30~120L/minの間で変化させ、それぞれの水準において、%破過時間(%BT)のうちの1%破過時間(1%BT)に対する%破過時間の比率(%破過濃度影響比(流量))を求め、その結果を表6に示した。
b.表6は、濃度Coが100ppmであるときの流量Qの水準と%破過時間との関係を示している。%破過時間は、それを%破過濃度影響比(流量)の形で見ると、流量Qの水準が変化したときに、%破過濃度影響比(流量)も変化することがわかった。
c.表6において、それぞれの%破過濃度における%破過濃度影響比(流量)と%破過濃度における%の対数との関係は図9が示すように直線関係にあり、その直線の傾きは流量Qに対して図10に示されるように変化していた。
d.表6と図10とからは、流量Qと、%破過濃度と、1%破過時間に対する%破過時間の比率(%破過濃度影響比(流量)または任意の破過濃度Sppmにおける破過時間比率)とが、式9で示される関係にあることがわかった。

破過濃度変化比:濃度、温度、湿度が一定の下で、少なくとも3水準の流量Qに対して求めた破過濃度A%に対応するA%破過時間と、流量Qのうちの1水準において破過濃度A%とは異なる破過濃度B%に対応するB%破過時間とを得ることにより算出される破過濃度変化に対する補正係数

Claims (24)
- 有害ガスを含む空気を上流側から下流側に向かって通過させて前記有害ガスを除去するろ過部を備え、前記ろ過部の前記下流側における前記有害ガスの濃度が前記有害ガスについての任意に設定される濃度である破過濃度に達するまでの破過時間を予測可能な空気浄化装置であって、
前記空気浄化装置は、前記ろ過部の前記上流側における前記空気に含まれる前記有害ガスの濃度と、前記ろ過部を通過する前記空気の流量と、前記上流側における前記空気の温度と、前記上流側における前記空気の相対湿度とのデータを演算処理部に入力可能であり、
前記演算処理部では、前記空気浄化装置に使用される前記ろ過部のための前記上流側における前記空気に含まれる前記有害ガスの濃度と、前記流量と、前記温度と、前記相対湿度とを変数とする前記破過時間の予測式がプログラムされていて、前記データに基づいて前記予測式から前記破過時間を予測可能であることを特徴とする前記空気浄化装置。 - 前記演算処理部では、前記空気浄化装置の使用に先立って、前記上流側における前記空気に含まれる前記有害ガスの濃度と、前記流量と、前記温度と、前記相対湿度と、前記破過濃度とによって構成された基準条件、および前記基準条件の下で測定された前記破過時間に基づいて前記予測式が組み立てられている請求項1記載の空気浄化装置。
- 前記演算処理部では、前記ろ過部のための前記基準条件における前記破過時間を前記温度と前記相対湿度とに基づいて補正する請求項2記載の空気浄化装置。
- 前記空気浄化装置が前記有害ガスの濃度の検出器、前記流量の検出器、前記温度の検出器、および前記相対湿度の検出器のうちの少なくとも一つを備えている請求項1-3のいずれかに記載の空気浄化装置。
- 前記空気浄化装置の使用中において、前記ろ過部の前記上流側における前記空気に含まれる前記有害ガスの濃度、前記流量、前記温度、および前記相対湿度のうちで値が一定であるものについては前記検出器を使用することのない請求項4記載の空気浄化装置。
- 前記演算処理部がコードレス化した状態で使用される請求項1-5のいずれかに記載の空気浄化装置。
- 前記演算処理部には、前記ろ過部の前記上流側における前記空気に含まれる前記有害ガスの濃度、前記流量、前記温度、および前記相対湿度のうちの少なくとも一つについての前記データが無線で入力される請求項1-6のいずれかに記載の空気浄化装置。
- 前記有害ガスが任意に選択された有毒ガスである基準ガスであり、前記上流側における前記基準ガスの濃度がCO(ppm)、前記流量がQ(L/min)、前記破過濃度がS(ppm)であり、前記下流側における前記基準ガスの濃度がS(ppm)になるまでの時間が前記破過時間であるときに、前記予測式が下記式によって表される請求項1-7のいずれかに記載の空気浄化装置。
破過時間=基準破過時間×濃度変化比×流量変化比×温度変化比×湿度変化比×破過濃度変化比
基準破過時間:濃度CO、流量Q、温度T、相対湿度RHを一定にしたときに、ろ過部の下流側の濃度が濃度COに対する破過濃度として任意に設定される100%未満の値であるA%に達するまでの時間。
濃度変化比:流量、温度、湿度が一定の下で、少なくとも2水準の濃度COに対して基準破過時間を得ることにより算出される濃度変化に対する補正係数
流量変化比:濃度、温度、湿度が一定の下で、少なくとも2水準の流量Qに対して基準破過時間を得ることにより算出される流量変化に対する補正係数
温度変化比:濃度、流量、相対湿度が一定の下で、少なくとも2水準の温度Tに対して基準破過時間を得ることにより算出される温度変化に対する補正係数
湿度変化比:濃度、流量、温度が一定の下で、相対湿度RHの水準を50%以上の1水準を含む少なくとも2水準に対して基準破過時間を得ることにより算出される湿度変化に対する補正係数
破過濃度変化比:濃度、温度、湿度が一定の下で、少なくとも3水準の流量Qに対して求めた破過濃度A%に対応するA%破過時間と、流量Qのうちの1水準において破過濃度A%とは異なる破過濃度B%に対応するB%破過時間とを得ることにより算出される破過濃度変化に対する補正係数 - 請求項8における前記式が下記式(1),(2)で表わされる請求項8記載の空気浄化装置。
(1)相対湿度RH≧50%の場合:
破過時間=1/基準破過時間×(CO a×10b)×(c×1/Q+d)×(i×EXPj×Q×Ln(S/CO×100)+1)×(e×RH+f)×(g×T+h)
(2)相対湿度RH<50%の場合:
破過時間=1/基準破過時間×(CO a×10b)×(c×1/Q+d)×(i×EXPj×Q×Ln(S/CO×100)+1)×(g×T+h)
上記の式(1),(2)において、
基準破過時間:濃度CO、流量Q、温度T、相対湿度RHを一定にしたときに、下流側の濃度が濃度COに対して任意に設定される100%未満の値であるA%に達するまでの時間。

c,d:濃度CO、温度T、相対湿度RHを一定にして、少なくとも2水準の流量Qと、それぞれの流量Qにおいてろ過部の下流側の有害ガスの濃度が濃度COのA%に達するまでの破過時間とによって求められる定数。
e,f:濃度CO、流量Q、温度Tを一定にして、相対湿度RHの水準を50%以上の1水準を含む少なくとも2水準と、それぞれの相対湿度RHにおいてろ過部の下流側の有害ガスの濃度が濃度COのA%に達するまでの破過時間とによって求められる定数。
g,h:濃度CO、流量Q、相対湿度RHを一定にして、少なくとも2水準の温度と、それぞれの温度Tにおいてろ過部の下流側の有害ガスの濃度が濃度COのA%に達するまでの破過時間とによって求められる定数。
i,j:濃度CO、温度T、相対湿度RHを一定にして、流量Qを少なくとも3水準で変化させたときの流量QとA%破過時間と、前記A%破過時間を得たときの流量Qの3水準のうちの1水準を利用したB%破過時間とによって求められる定数。 - 前記演算処理部は、前記有害ガスの前記基準ガスに対する相対破過比を使用して前記破過時間の予測が可能にプログラムされている請求項1-9のいずれかに記載の空気浄化装置。
- 前記相対破過比を使用する前記破過時間の予測には、前記有害ガスが液体状態であるときの水に対する溶解率に基づく補正が施されている請求項10記載の空気浄化装置。
- 前記演算処理部では、前記ろ過部についての単位時間当たりの破過進行度を求めることができるとともに、前記破過進行度を積算して前記ろ過部の破過時間を予測可能である請求項1-11のいずれかに記載の空気浄化装置。
- 前記単位時間として、1/6000~5/600minの範囲にある時間を使用する請求項12記載の空気浄化装置。
- 前記演算処理部では、前記ろ過部についての残存使用割合及び残存破過時間のうちの少なくとも一方を算出可能である請求項1-13のいずれかに記載の空気浄化装置。
- 前記空気浄化装置が防毒マスクおよび局所排気装置のいずれかである請求項1-14のいずれかに記載の空気浄化装置。
- 前記防毒マスクでは、前記流量の検出器が前記ろ過部の上流側および下流側のいずれかにセットされている請求項15記載の空気浄化装置。
- 前記局所排気装置では、前記流量の検出器が前記ろ過部の上流側および下流側のいずれかにセットされている請求項15記載の空気浄化装置。
- 有害ガスを含む空気が空気浄化装置のろ過部を上流側から下流側に向かって通過するときの前記ろ過部の前記下流側における前記有害ガスの濃度が前記有害ガスについての任意に設定される濃度である破過濃度に達するまでの破過時間を予測する方法であって、
前記空気浄化装置では、前記ろ過部の前記上流側における前記空気に含まれる前記有害ガスの濃度と、前記ろ過部を通過する前記空気の流量と、前記上流側における前記空気の温度と、前記上流側における前記空気の相対湿度とのデータを演算処理部に入力し、
前記演算処理部では、前記上流側における前記空気に含まれる前記有害ガスの前記濃度と、前記流量と、前記温度と、前記相対湿度とを変数にして、前記演算処理部にプログラムされている前記破過時間の予測式と前記データとを使用して前記破過時間を予測することを特徴とする前記方法。 - 前記演算処理部では、前記空気浄化装置の使用に先立って、前記上流側における前記空気に含まれる前記有害ガスの濃度と、前記流量と、前記温度と、前記相対湿度と、前記破過濃度とによって構成された基準条件、および前記基準条件の下で測定された前記破過時間に基づいて前記破過時間予測式が組み立てられている請求項18記載の方法。
- 前記演算処理部では、前記ろ過部のための前記基準条件における前記破過時間を前記温度と前記相対湿度とに基づいて補正する請求項19記載の方法。
- 前記有害ガスが任意に選択された有毒ガスである基準ガスであり、前記上流側における前記基準ガスの濃度がCO(ppm)、前記流量がQ(L/min)、前記破過濃度がS(ppm)であり、前記下流側における前記基準ガスの濃度がS(ppm)になるまでの時間が前記破過時間であるときに、前記予測式が下記式によって表される請求項18-20のいずれかに記載の方法。
破過時間=基準破過時間×濃度変化比×流量変化比×温度変化比×湿度変化比×破過濃度変化比
基準破過時間:濃度CO、流量Q、温度T、相対湿度RHを一定にしたときに、ろ過部の下流側の濃度が濃度COに対する破過濃度として任意に設定される100%未満の値であるA%に達するまでの時間。
濃度変化比:流量、温度、湿度が一定の下で、少なくとも2水準の濃度COに対して基準破過時間を得ることにより算出される濃度変化に対する補正係数

湿度変化比:濃度、流量、温度が一定の下で、相対湿度RHの水準を50%以上の1水準を含む少なくとも2水準に対して基準破過時間を得ることにより算出される湿度変化に対する補正係数
破過濃度変化比:濃度、温度、湿度が一定の下で、少なくとも3水準の流量Qに対して求めた破過濃度A%に対応するA%破過時間と、流量Qのうちの1水準において破過濃度A%とは異なる破過濃度B%に対応するB%破過時間とを得ることにより算出される破過濃度変化に対する補正係数 - 請求項21おける前記式が下記式(1),(2)で表わされる請求項21記載の方法。
(1)相対湿度RH≧50%の場合:
破過時間=1/基準破過時間×(CO a×10b)×(c×1/Q+d)×(i×EXPj×Q×Ln(S/CO×100)+1)×(e×RH+f)×(g×T+h)
(2)相対湿度RH<50%の場合:
破過時間=1/基準破過時間×(CO a×10b)×(c×1/Q+d)×(i×EXPj×Q×Ln(S/CO×100)+1)×(g×T+h)
上記の式(1),(2)において、
基準破過時間:濃度CO、流量Q、温度T、相対湿度RHを一定にしたときに、下流側の濃度が濃度COに対して任意に設定される100%未満の値であるA%に達するまでの時間。

e,f:濃度CO、流量Q、温度Tを一定にして、相対湿度RHの水準を50%以上の1水準を含む少なくとも2水準と、それぞれの相対湿度RHにおいてろ過部の下流側の有害ガスの濃度が濃度COのA%に達するまでの破過時間とによって求められる定数。
g,h:濃度CO、流量Q、相対湿度RHを一定にして、少なくとも2水準の温度と、それぞれの温度Tにおいてろ過部の下流側の有害ガスの濃度が濃度COのA%に達するまでの破過時間とによって求められる定数。
i,j:濃度CO、温度T、相対湿度RHを一定にして、流量Qを少なくとも3水準で変化させたときの流量QとA%破過時間と、前記A%破過時間を得たときの流量Qの3水準のうちの1水準を利用したB%破過時間とによって求められる定数。 - 前記演算処理部は、前記有害ガスの前記基準ガスに対する相対破過比を使用しても前記破過時間の予測が可能にプログラムされている請求項18-22のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記相対破過比を使用する前記破過時間の予測には、前記有害ガスが液体状態であるときときの水に対する溶解率に基づく補正が施されている請求項23記載の方法。
