Abstract
The invention relates to a device for injecting a fuel into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, having a pressure source (2), a pressure booster (3), an injection nozzle (4), a first valve (5) by means of which a pressure in a differential chamber (11) of the pressure booster (3) can be lowered, a second valve (6) by means of which the differential chamber (11) can be filled with fuel at the first pressure level of the pressure source (2), and a control chamber (13) of the first valve (5), which control chamber can be activated by the second valve (6). To increase an efficiency of a device of said type and to permit short switching times, it is proposed according to the invention that all of the lines (line (43), line (50), outflow cross section (35)) leading to the first valve (5) can at least intermittently be separated from the pressure source (2).
