Abstract
The present invention relates to an inflator for mounting protective gear. The inflator for mounting protective gear includes: a body part, in one side of which an explosion chamber is defined, and on the other side of which first and second guide parts, each having a smaller diameter than that of the explosion chamber and a plurality of heat-sink pins on the outer surface thereof, are disposed in series, the body part including a plurality of pressure-release holes defined in the first guide part adjacent to the explosion chamber; an upper cap sealing the explosion chamber, the upper cap inserting a power supply connector into the explosion chamber so as to cause an explosion using a trigger; a follower and follower-fixing part which are moved by means of the air that is heated and expanded when the explosion occurs in the explosion chamber so as to punch a cartridge coupled to the end of the second guide part, and which return to the original position thereof by means of an elastic part; a lateral surface case part spaced apart from the outside of the first and second guide parts, respectively, so as to provide a partition chamber between the outer surfaces of the first and second guide parts, the lateral surface case part performing heat-exchange between the heated and expanded air discharged through the pressure release holes and gas discharged from the cartridge; and a discharge part passing through the lateral surface case part and a side surface of the body part on which the second guide part is disposed, and being inserted into the lateral surface case part and the side surface of the body part so as to supply the gas discharged from the cartridge into the protective gear.
